Jared Kushner's status as a top aide to President Donald Trump was used to lure Chinese investors to his family's New Jersey development, even after his family's company apologized for mentioning his name during a sales pitch in May, CNN has found.

Just when you think there isn't more, there's more. And it is often more than once a day something new surfaces.

One webpage posted in March by Chinese company Qiaowai that remains on the company's page on the popular Chinese social media site WeChat mentions Trump and suggests he supports the program: "Even some members of Trump's family have participated in the growth of the EB-5 program ... the "Kushner 88" panoramic New Jersey apartment project ... The lead developer on the now-completed project was Kushner Companies which is linked to Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner." It goes on to say, "Given this, in the Trump era, the EB-5 program is likely to receive support and be expanded."

In May, the Kushner fami'y apologized for his sister's use of the name and a slide at the end of an event with Trump.

Nicole Kushner Meyer, the sister of White House adviser and President Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, mentioned her brother's new role in the administration during a pitch for her family's property. The New Jersey building makes use of an EB-5 visa program to draw in international investors, including the Chinese.

Reporters at that event were askd to leave.

It is past May and the name is still being used in investor materials.

I thought if you spent 250,000 to open a business in the states you automatically get citizenship.

So why would someone drop half a million to just get a green card?

The point here is that Jared's administration position is being pointed out as another benefit. Invest in his company and you not only get the Visa but the influence as well.

But you are right, this entire administration;s selling of influence is nothing new.

Well apparently the Mexicans couldnt afford it.

This has been going on for a long time.

Rich Chinese "invest" in various US businesses to get green cards and then open greater financial opportunities. It gets them the green card almost automatically. It goes back to at least the Bush years I think.

It looks like Mr. Kushner was subpoenaed over this. So all those saying 'not a big deal'..Guess what? It is a big deal.

It seems to be par for the course. It's hard to deny others the same business opportunities when accepted behavior by the elites is SOP.

The obscure immigration program that helps wealthy foreigners get American Green Cards is proving profitable to some people with very familiar names.

Hillary Clinton’s brother is involved. So are powerful California politician Willie Brown and Chicago political boss Richard M. Daley. One firm that helps wealthy Chinese gain access to the little-known immigration program even tried to recruit President Obama’s half-brother, Mark Obama-Ndesandjo.

Obama LOVED the EB5 program.

The EB-5 visas are, in effect, purchased by rich aliens for $500,000 per family. These visas can then be turned, if all goes well and a couple of years pass, into permanent resident alien status for everyone in the family. The program is due to sunset on December 9 unless Congress acts to extend the deadline.
