A giant EMP where all cars stop, no phones to the kids work, all businesses grind to a halt...and no matter where you are...you start walking toward home or your family not knowing if they are there because all communication is gone. Later no food, no gas, no lights, no water....

And then the horror of wondering why your daughter of husband didnt make it home....and never finding out. Stay there and wait? Head for the hills with MILLIONS of you going along....the implications are staggering..

Am I the only optimist around here?
Humans have survived much more difficult situations than we currently face.
Don't worry, be happy.
And carry a big stick.

Pandemic, definitely..........and the MSM, CNN and Wall Street Journal are telegraphing it with reports of growing concern among officials that we are over due for a pandemic. Since they are quietly trying to get the message out to their followers, I expect that it is possible the deep state is preparing to release a weaponized version of some virulent flu bug in several US major cities in an attempt to bring down this administration and to set the predicate for martial law.

Thanks for all the comments.

I think a pandemic or EMP are most likely scenarios. For the pandemic it would be some type of flu or other virus that has a very high mortality rate. Think some type of combination between common cold turning into Ebola. It would spread quickly and by the time anyone figures out what is happening it will be too late.

I can see a huge EMP doing some serious damage. The EMP itself isn't the problem. It is the fact that our entire infrastructure is upended. No food. No Transportation. The effects will be slow at first, but once people figure out the entire grid is down a week or two later, it is going to be hell on earth.

I'm not a prepper and unfortunately live in a big city. I wish I could uproot and move to somewhere more remote. Cities will not be a good place to be.

It is eye opening to think that most people are in no way prepared to deal with having to survive once the infrastructure is compromised. Grocery stores only have like 3 days of food. If no trucks are making deliveries, that will be gone in a few hours. Typical person has no idea how to hunt. Grow food. Or do anything without modern conveniences. We really are helpless.

I think a bullet to the presidents brain would start something that would eventually lead to total chaos.

I expect a financial meltdown that they will distract us from in the most efficient manner: We get an EMP blown about 20 miles about the United States, we're back to partying like it's 1899. Mass deaths from lack of medicine, lack of power, lack of modern medical equipment, lack of pharmaceuticals which cannot be either manufactured or shipped, and the scale of it will be insane because people don't know how to live without everything at their fingertips. Cars sitting dead? Planes that were aloft lose all power. There's a lot to it. Everything that runs on electricity or batteries will be fried by the EMP. NOTHING will work. No water, no power, no cell phones, no vehicles running......our country will be thrown into inertia and panic on a mass scale.

Might as well throw in a limited-scale nuclear engagement by Lil Kim getting angry and turning South Korea into a sheet of glass, and then it spreads from there. The middle east will have its Armageddon.

Just to add spice to this doom porn stew, throw in a deadly earthquake or the Yellowstone caldera blowing sky high.

But before this buffet of the worst that humanity has to offer, why not have ugly civil wars based on stupid ideas and criminal government activity that we take out on each other instead of addressing the problem where it began. A vicious pandemic would be the icing on the crap cake.

The trucks stop rolling. Seriously, that is all it would take. Store shelves of food and water would be gone in 72 hours much less with the panic if the story is reported. Gas would be gone within 48 hours. Water from the tap would be undrinkable within a week.

There is some (a great deal of) truth in what you say.

Here in the UK, back in 2000, some long-distance hauliers who were p-ed off about fuel taxes got hold of Britain by the balls.

They knew the truth. All they had to do was blockade the UK's main refinery. And they did, and within a week the Government found itself staring into both barrels of a national emergency. In the end, the hauliers called it off and went home before serious damage was done, but it was a nasty shock to many people.

Ahhhh, I'm glad I read the thread all the way through.

This - I agree with.

Add to that knowing those you love in the hospital are dying without all the gadgets that keep them alive.

That your good warehouses do not exist any longer and the deliveries to your local stores are - ceased.

I could go on and on but it's too depressing.

peace
