This is a show of force before Trump's visit to Riyadh. This is a clear message to Trump. Don't mess with us or else. Hopefully Trump will not escalate after concluding 350 billion arms deal with Saudi Arabia unless he wants to get impeached for war.

It is nice to know that the people of Yemen can strike back against the House of Saud after the Saudis indiscriminate terror bombing campaigns following their disastrous land invasion.

Sadly I think the only outcome to this will be more terror bombing attacks on Shi'ite villages. This war is going to get a lot nastier before it ends.

Or else what? Its Yemen... I'm sure they want nothing of what the US and its allies can deliver, if they choose... If anything, looks like a reckless/careless attempt to intimidate a military that won't be intimidated... Maybe Yemen can find a friend in North Korea or something

Ha!
Or else what?

Is Yemen going to invade us?

That's even funnier than North Korea. At least NK has a functioning military.

I don't think starting a war counts as an impeachable offence. Not legally.

An ally was bombed so just how would the POTUS get impeached for supporting an ally?

He is not authorized to fight Ansar Allah in Yemen. That would not be war on terror.

Who cares, he could bomb anyone that bombs an ally.

He's allowed to fight anyone he chooses. He needs Congressional approval to declare war, but under the War Powers Act limited operations are allowed without Congressional approval. The US has been attacking targets in Yemen for years now. They just haven't been announcing it all over the media.

The Saudi's have their own bombs, let them bomb Yemen. This fight does not need to include us right now. The Saudi's are even supposed to have nukes.

Yup.

Back in 09 - 10 we spent over 200 straight days cutting circles in the ocean doing airstrikes on targets in Yemen.

Didn't get our beer day until day 210

It's almost funny how the anti Trump crowd calls for impeachment over anything Trump does.

What do you think that F-15E detachment that's permanently based in Djibouti is up to? It sure ain't there for Iraq or Afghanistan.

Interestingly enough, Trump's son in law was just negotiating an arms deal with Saudi that included ballistic missile defense. The price was too high so Jared called the head of Lockheed Martin and asked if they could lower the price. They said they'll think about it.

Now we learn Yemen is using ballistic missiles before Trump's visit. How convenient.

But why do we have to pay for that, can we collect from them to pay for it without them jacking up the price of oil?

I have never been in favor of the Medieval monarchy of the House of Saud. But their conflicts are motivated by tribal reasons, something that took the US a long time to understand after the "liberation of Iraq" and the bombing of Afghanistan

They has been in conflict for centuries within each other and is not about to end.

They've been using them. This is something like the fourth or fifth attack on Saudi territory I think.
