A loss for us all. A kind individual who was extremely smart, level-headed and a great artist.

R.I.P. Tony, you will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known you.

Dang it he was a really good person, and shared his artwork with many people here on ATS.

He also gave me my first applause on ATS in 2006.

My condolences to his family and may you find the great art gallery in the sky brother.

You'll be missed greatly.

Sorry to hear about his death. I do not remember talking to him on threads but I may have. Did he have a painful departure? Funny how when you get older it seems more important that you don't suffer much before you leave. I hope when I go I am lucid and in decent health right up till the time I die. But that may like believing in fairies.

The marginalized and downtrodden lost a champion, and the world of ATS has lost a giant. I already miss him terribly.

Gutted to find out about this. Incredibly sad news.

Tony was a voice of reason and sanity in a messed up world.

He will be sorely missed.

What can anyone say at a time like this......at the passing of a wonderful man, a great artist, a good husband, a good father? What can anyone say when someone you considered "a friend" passes away? For the moment, I can only cry and mourn the loss of this truly unique, thoughtful and giving individual.

My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to his Wife, Diane, and to his children. My sympathies also go out to all of us who knew masqua through ATS. For many of us, he became a "friend".

Why I always feel soo sad that all the members I come to respect and admire, share with and debate, I really never, never get to known them truly.

Yes we have lost some members in the years the board has been around, I have met some beyond the threads, but many like Masqua I never got to really appreciate his legacy, I love art and now I will never be able to tell him how an accomplished artist he was. Sometimes life is very unfair.

Yes I am crying about this and I can not stop.

Masqua I am very sorry I never had the chance to know you better.

My Sympathies to his family and friends. I can see him sitting beneath a tall tree with the sunlight streaming, surrounded by beauty and colors that come alive as he creates new works of art. It is not an end, but rather a new beginning. RIP dear one.

A Good Man Died Today

A good man died today
Buildings did not close
Flags were not flown at
half mast
School children
attended classes
and life went on
as it did yesterday
and will again
tomorrow.

But he was my friend
and people should know

A good man died today

We will never forget you, Tony. You've made your mark here and elsewhere. See you at a distant campfire, somewhere, somewhen. Much peace.
