To me as a non-American,i must say it sounds Insane..How can anyone in America have a problem with people wearing the colours of the American flag??????????????? It's either the country you were born in,or if you're an immigrant, the country where you obviously Wanted to Be..Why in the name of all that's sane and good,is it Racist to wear the colours of the flag of your own country?????? Why should any American apologise to Anyone for wearing the colours of their flag?
Insanity. And an insanity which should Never be catered for or kowtowed to.

Red, White and Blue can be symbol of sincere love for this country. But on the darker side, wearing red white and blue, depending on the context can mean extreme nativism and an aversion to those who are not of your stock i.e brown people.
But you guys already know this so why am I explaining it?

The race classification was created by Carleston S. Coon in 1962. The four major races can then be further subdivided into 30 subgroups.....
