Picture of alleged Alien on board USS Eldridge ATS community Can someone help me identify this

This whole "alien selfie" on 4chan has got me on an alien hype

This is a picture has been floating around the internet for years now. It is a rare photo of the briefing team in one of the “ready rooms”on board the USS Eldridge with the leading Atomic bomb physicists and time variant scientists of the time and what is believed to be an benevolent alien. (He's sat on the front bench) This claim outrageous but a specific one. The photo is genuine and was apparently taken around August 9th 1943 (which conflicts with official documents on Eldridge) but to my knowledge is unknown when it was released or who released it.

That's clearly Oscar Schneider in the picture but the other men in the photograph, I have not been able to confirm (literally not had time to do it) other Researchers have claimed these men have been confirmed (although i have not) - Lawrence Schmidt, Morris Hablagnian, Ernest O. Lawrence nuclear scientist, Arthur H. Compton American physicist, engineer Vannevar Bush, Dr James B. Conant American chemist, Karl Taylor Compton physicist, philanthropist Alfred L. Loomis and Jack Parsons rocket scientist.

Allegedly this alien has been working with the US government in the PENTAGON since 1937 he has been helping with US Navy and military operations like reverse engineering crashed alien technology converting it to our own. His name is A. Yaglu Don Thor some call him Val Valiant Thor. Phil speculated that Thor was employed under duress stating “if you don't do was we say we'll use you for alien bait” Phil states Thors lifespan is 490 human years He is human looking and has six fingers and six toes and an over-sized heart and one giant lung, blood vessels that are bigger and blood similar to an octopus his brain capacity is 300cm greater than us. His IQ is about 1200 which is completely off the scale. He lives in and around the Pentagon. At one time he lived in the 3rd sub basement of west wing which he had the whole floor to himself.

This is an outrageous claim but nonetheless a specific one. The photo is genuine and was apparently taken around August 9th 1943 (which conflicts with official documents on Eldridge) but to my knowledge, it is unknown when it was released or who released it after Phils death.

Can someone help me identify or shed some light on the source of the photo?
Where are Phils other photos, if this one survived where are the rest? Who had this copy? When did this photo surface?

Strangely enough, I was reading that thread just yesterday, and noticed that Phil in his later years, actually had a profile similar to that of the alleged alien in the photo. The plot thickens..... Lulz

hi - may i advise " stepping back " a notch and asking a precursor question :

is the scene in this photograph congruent with the deckplan of a USN " cannon class destroyer escort " ?

the clickable links show what ech compartment looked like - now there were variations - and fifferent fittments

but the entire pont of these vessels was standardisation

so where is that " ready room " on a cannon class ?

Was that before or after it disappeared from the Philadelphia harbor?

I am aware of the alleged history of the USS Eldridge but I have never heard of this "alien" photo before.

Well speak for yourself, that guy look's like he could open a tin can with the point of his jaw.
Actually he remind's me of a comic book character, one of my childhood favorite's Judge Dredd.

But before we go off subject completely He does look human.

Now let's get this into our mind's, an Alien on Earth that look's human is a perfect way for an Alien to blend in, An alien with no home to go back too, the last of his kind whom find's a primitive child like society of low intelligence entity's that look like his people once did may also take pity and try to help them, a human from the distant future, a biological chimera created for interaction with the human race by a completely different race?.

So there are many reason's why this guy COULD be an alien or indeed anyone walking past you in the street could be but before we all get a little paranoid and start believing our ex girlfriend was really a brain sucking leech from outside the solar system from a race whom eat there mate's (which may or may not be true?) in all likelihood with his regulation hair cut, strong nordic feature's (And pointy chin) he does not look alien.

BUT why would he look alien, there may be other human races out there and we like the story from the hitch hikers guide to the Galaxy could actually be the descendant's of bunch of idiot's whose space liner crashed here.


Actually I like the story, I DO believe it deserves this attention and yes there are plenty of other thread's on ATS that go into depth on this subject BUT they are archived and most seldom see any new comment's so a fresh thread on what has become a familiar subject to some of us is very welcome and new thought's with the ever changing community and there new take on it are also more than welcome so CHickMagNet5000 thank you, I enjoyed this thread, sorry about the quip in the start of my post as he really does have a massive chin, but hey he probably think's we all have weak and effeminate chin's.

An IQ of 12000 though, wow?, would such an endowed species even bother to develop computer technology or could such a species be evidence of engineered organism's and themselves be artificial, biological androids even?.

This is simply a badly developed photograph. You have to realize in those days photography was a chemical process where many things can go wrong. Look at all the other faces, they are all distorted in a grungy way

That can happen, have you ever been in a dark room developing your own film, I am no expert but I have but not been myself for a great many years but there was a time that photographic equipment shop's were fairly common with every town center in having several of them often down side street's.

Personally I don't think the photo is in any way distorted other than a little curvature in the image edges consistent with the lens having a very mild fish eye effect, likely not a zeis lens, nothing too severe - probably because the photographer had to take in a wide view of what was probably a cramped briefing room below deck's.

This may though explain why his thumb and hand - what can be seen of it - seem to be preternaturally long compared to what we would intuitively expect to see.

There ARE plenty of babies born every year on earth with extra digit's often it affect's only one limb or one side of the infant but quite often it is a complete full set of extra digit's, both 12 and 14 digit's are common and in the west today it is a routine surgical procedure to remove these extra digits after the infant is born, young girl I know had to have two extra toes removed, one from each foot (not a useless extra toe but the full skeletal attachment and necessary skeletal and tendon connections and nerves, fully working) and despite claim's that this is a genetic defect there is no evidence that such is the case though it does seem to have recessive proporty's and can be inherited, indeed it is even possible that to put the spanner in the works we may even be descended from a 24 or 28 digit ancestor and that ancestor was not a tree climbing Gerbil because if that was the case recessive or not these gene's would have vanished long ago.

I shan't get into my own idea's but remember that the royal lineages of ancient Mesopotamia, Persia and many other ancient dynasty's had leader's whom were supposedly very tall and had extra digit's.

I have my own theory's about evolution for example and I DO NOT ASCRIBE to the Monkey ancestor theory, one of my theory's is about the transmission of gene's by viral propagation between species whom are in close proximity for a prolonged time, domestication of Pig's may be a prime example, not only do viral and other pathogen's adapt to there host species but they may actively homogenise those species over time by transferring genetic material between the disparate hose cell nucleus (viral pathogen's).

So Alien species in a strange ecosystem, bio compatibility either natural or by deliberate bio engineering of there own genome then leaving them open to the native bio sphere and it's encumbent pathogenic fauna, further natural adaptation of the alien species and it's environment may then take place as they each adapt to one another and/or activaly promote the other to adapt to them.

So in other word's if this is an Alien no matter how odd his biochemistry may seem his basic template may indicate a commonality of origin, if not on earth then out there?.

I remember this as taking place in the Pentagon, not on a navy vessel.

"Valiant Thor" was the "alien's" nom de plume... and I always thought this was loonyness from the great age of contactees a la Adamski, though the pic has real scientists of the time in it and what looks like Schneider's dad... so ?

I believe you are correct as that is what I seem to remember.

But looking at the image it does look like a below deck's shot in the mess area or somewhere similar and not a building.

I agree that it looks more like a ship's ready room rather than a sub basement at the Pentagon, but I got my info from an old paper-back book and newer info might be more accurate!

The guy does look rather large and "Nordic" looking... seems the scuttle butt of the time said he was from Venus ... tho I'd vote Mars due to his large, large hands

Octopus blood is bluish - green/blue and is not as efficient at carrying oxygen as haemoglobin. Why does this man have (presumably) two nostrils when he has one large lung. What I am getting to is given these difference it would give rise to more of a non- human look. As for an IQ of 1200, well I doubt they could measure such a thing so the score is highly suspect as the OP states.

I do not believe this but then I may bee wrong. I do have a hat I can eat!
