This leak really isn't that important. From what I understand, mentioned on Politico, the media has reached out to him for comments. He just isn't commenting. The press probably didn't feel like a leak of this caliber was worth following up there.
Spicer declined to comment about the leak crackdown.
Based on the actual story I would doubt they even asked for a comment. And if they did ask, I would be more inclined to think he didn't even respond versus decline to comment...they likely spun it that way to make it sound more plausible.
Declined to comment is the same thing as failure to respond.
Both of the authors are hit piece crap journalists with nothing of note in their "careers".
Lol. Random ad hominems against the article's authors. This is poor form arguing here.
Sadly the days of actually vetting a story are gone and we are relegated to this garbage with every single news outlet.
Lol. This coming from a person who is willing to write an article off just because the author isn't famous enough.

No...declined would infer a response of decline.
I could care less how famous they are. One is a nobody with no other stories of note and the other is a hack that's made a career by slurping up Thrush blabber. She was his "protégé" and has been co-author on many of his stories. With a mentor like that I am perfectly within reason for saying what I say about her....and now she had a lapdog to do the same...her co-author of the OP story.
As has been pointed out....nothing even mentioned or asked about by the press....Politico is junk news....Thrush just made it really obvious with his emails to Podesta acting like a star struck child and calling himself a hack in them. Maybe, just maybe, as a journalist, they should actually research a story and write it without bias and truly try to bring some real issues to light....but that would require work and they want spotlight NOW.

Tell it to Dan Rather and every other veteran serious journalist.
He had his stupid chance. He blew it.
This isn't going away, and we aren't going to shut up. We knew what to expect; Trump was certainly NOT an "unknown quantity." It is a disaster already, and how you can defend it is really really cause for concern.

Who "guys"?
I have wanted transparency forever. I didn't have a problem with Manning, or Snowden, and I certainly am a fan of Jeremy Scahill and other serious journalists who have shed light on the subjects of war crimes, government treachery, and Russian interference.
I was a Bernie supporter, and remain a firm believer in his premises, and in Elizabeth Warren, too! We won't sit down and shut up. The legislators don't know what the hell to do now, and obviously no one in the White House does, either.
My motto is to be honest, and not to fall for hucksters like, for example, Alex Jones, who recently ranted that anyone who doesn't like Trump should go kill themselves. Seriously. He said that.
I'm anti-BS.

Sorry
Couldn't be farther from the truth.
This was very easily discarded.
It is good to know that buzzy is now paying attention. Good for her.
Right. I understand you don't care about this.
You haven't, however, demonstrated that this story is untrue outside of just yelling your opinion at me.
The fact that NO ONE from the msm followed up on the story at todays presser gives me all the answer I need. Perhaps you need more; I do not.

This is about Sean Spicer and today's current events. It isn't about what has been done in the past. Please try to remember that. Obama is gone. Hillary was not inserted into the Oval Office. This is about TRUMP and his presidency.
Funny you say the above, because you decided to sneak this tidbit in your OP:
Keep in mind that he did NOT win the popular vote.
So how does the above statement fit into the narrative about Sean Spicer and TODAY'S current events - as you put it???
O Holier Than Thou
I didn't "sneak" anything into it. I'm sick of the browbeatings and people acting like Trump and his administration have the support of the American people. They do not. It's totally obvious. TODAY Trump is still the POTUS. How long that remains the case is up for wagers. Spicer is part of TODAY'S WHITE HOUSE. That's how it fits in. TRUMP's ADMINISTRATION includes Sean Spicer. It is a matter of fact (that some on ATS seem unable to grasp) Trump was not a popular candidate except among a select group of souls who are vastly outnumbered.

How would you suggest one prove a story from un named sources? Other than ask the focus of the story, and that opportunity was available today.
You have some evidence not listed in the politico story?

no matter how many tears fall, Trump did win the election, and is the president. About half of us didn't like Obama either time, but didn't try to ruin our country because of it. Just keep that in mind.

Well I can only keep talking about how mundane leaks to a new administration are before I get bored of saying the same things over and over again and start exploring more nuanced approaches to the conversation to understand it better. Must be my ADD or something.
Sorry if that offends you.
