Nope, it doesn't. Great contribution to the discussion.

Perhaps you'll point out his statement that he is a lizard?

The doctors who say that he's a lizard?

The laws that recognize his lizardhood?

Failing that, you've posted a rather bizarre photo and a very succinct straw man argument.

SHE identifies as a "man," but her biology, genetics, DNA, AND birth certificate says/proves otherwise. And NOTHING can alter that.

The madness is ALL in her head.

Why do progressives hate science?

It is a biological fact that males are naturally much stronger than females due to higher testosterone levels.

Well this is political and politics turns science into bulls**t. And so we have what we have here today. He wants it and so he gets it.

Why is he wrestling agains girls if he is a boy?

is it bc they will not allow him to wrestle as the gender he associates with?

Which would essentially prevent any transkid from participating in high school sport.

Sure, that sounds fair and equitable.

Texas law ... his gender is determined by his birth certificate.

What does he get again?

He's a boy, he wants to wrestle boys.

Texas law makes him wrestle girls.

How is this enforced? Is there a bc police? Do they have to bring their bc to the first practice?

I'm sure he did have to submit his birth certificate at some point.

The thing is ... Mack wants to wrestle the other boys. The absurdity of Texas law (which is backed up by arguments like we have seen here) is preventing him.

Nice how that absurd law backfired...

We will be seeing more of that, it will become a much bigger issue than it was before bc of this birth certificate nonsense and trump lifting Obamas protection law.

Ask the people who make discriminatory laws in Texas.

Now that Mack has won the Texas championship, will he be allowed to advance to the Regional and potentially, the National GIRLS competition? Maybe he will be forced to wrestle other boys at those levels?

From what I've read of the matter, Mack WANTS to wrestle other boys. Texas won't allow it.

I can't say what other states will do, nor which ones would be involved.

Well, we will know soon..assuming that the STATE champion advances to the Regional level...as athletes do in other sports. I'm not familiar with how that works in the sport of wrestling.

Yes, I guess we will. If I were predicting the outcome here, I would guess that, contrary to good reasoning, trans athletes will be excluded from competition.

I said that the first time I heard about Mack. I still don't think it's fair or right.

That's too bad. Mack would pretty much be at the end of line then. He will never have the joy of wrestling at the Regional or National level.

Although, he COULD just be paired against boy wrestlers going forward, since the REGIONAL rules will apply, instead of TEXAS rules.

Indeed. I hope the net effect will be that even those who personally have doubts or a lack of understanding about TG issues will at least come to realize that these folks are Americans and have the same rights we all do.

However, the stumbling block as some more astute folks have noted here, is the hormonal therapy that many TG kids will be taking.

Even though this is being monitored closely through medical professionals, and no one is trying to hide this status, nor is it "cheating" in the same way that some have abused these kinds of treatments ... still, that's the one logical point of contention that will have to be addressed.

vitor was never greatest of all time level. on or off the roids.
he had some big wins but huge losses. when he first came on the scene and everyone was calling him the phenom they expected him to dominate and be the best ever and he never quite got there.

his first 4 wins were against your average tomato can. then he comes up to randy couture and loses.
another tomato can win and yes then an impressive win over vanderlei silva. silva was early on just getting going though.
then he fought sakuraba and just got chopped apart. it was a joke.
4 more wins against average guys and then a loss to chuck liddell
then a win over couture and followed up by a loss to him
a loss to tito ortiz. a loss to overeem. another loss to overeem.
a loss to hendo
5 wins. 2 of them over matt lindland which might have been his most impressive opponent.

and on and on.

he has a couple impressive wins but vitor never came close to best of the best status. roids or no.

his problem was lack of focus. if he was on his game he could tune anyone up. problem is he was very often not focused. to be fair in 04 his sister was abducted and killed and they never found the body. that was when he was entering his prime and i dont think he ever recovered from it.

Keep rolling your eyes.

We're not talkign about feelings, we're talking about medical science.

Your example is that an adult man using testosterone replacement is exactly the same as a transgender boy using testosterone theapy.

They are fundamentally different, and if you think a minute, you'll know why.

Vitor Belfort was taking testosterone for his low testosterone levels. He had a legitimate medical condition that required medical treatment. It's backed up by medical science. Just ask him.

i guess some would call it legit.
he was taking TRT therapy sue to his low testosterone levels that came from him juicing.

none of this really matters. i just like talking about mma and i like to get it straight.

edit
in my opinion a legit medical condition would be something you did not choose. some disease. something accidental.
vitor chose to juice up early and then later needed the TRT.
this trans kid chose that

just 1 guys opinion but those should not be looked at as legit medical conditions in the world of competative sports.

Wait, so this is a girl who transitioned to a boy.

Who wanted to wrestle as a boy.

But the State Rules insisted he had to wrestle as the gender he was born under on his birth certificate - female.

So this is just highlighting the absurdity of not allowing people to be the gender they want to be, surely?

If Mack Begg had been allowed to wrestle as a man, he would have. But the outdated rules forced him to wrestle the women, and it was clearly not right.

The correct viewpoint is for anyone taking anabolic steroids to not be allowed to compete against men or women. Like I said in my above post, MMA just learned this lesson the hard way.

Isn't that discriminatory that you want to limit people with a medical condition from what activities they would like to be a part of?
