I am shaken by your storms
want to reach out and tame them
hold you tight in my arms
until the sky is clear once again

I am floating in the sea
of your thoughts and emotions
and I will comfort you there
through these cold lonely moments

I will linger in the shadows
when I know you are there
feeling the weight of the turbulent world
all around you

you are so deep
so intense
and I feel like I'm dreaming
Is that a part of me
I see in you?

Your words hold such power
and I cannot fathom
how real and how true
the essence of me
that I have found in you

The words came spilling forth so quickly, maybe it was from the other side of that door.

Very good poem Night!

That is pretty good nightstar. It would take me two years to write something like that, I am sort of a perfectionist. Then in the end I would throw it into lake superior without showing it to anyone. I did that with a poem back in the early seventies.

The strange thing is someone made up a poem almost the same ten years later, many states away.
It kind of started like this.

My thoughts travel through the night
past everything I hear and see
back along the strands of time
to the time we spent together.

That was the only poetry I ever wrote, it was in about 1970 The whole thing was about five paragraphs long, I can't remember the rest of it off hand.
