Donald Trump almost mocking his supporters in a pretty arrogant fashion.

Well, there are some people who like to play the role of the dominant. And there are some people who enjoy playing along with the dominant. Nonetheless, it should have no place in politics or governing.

That's a good point. I know some people enjoy being made the fool of, I also know many people like the idea of backing a villain, hence all the love Darth Vader gets for example.

I just can't tell. It is VERY CLEAR to me that Trump is making fun of his supporters, but from the most popular responses on here I sort of think some of his supporters are not mentally acute enough to pick up on it.

Did Trump Play His Supporters?

Posts a video of the daily show...

Did you watch the clip? I am asking for a response as to what he said to his supporters. What do you think? You can fast forward the video to Trump speaking, I assure you the Daily Show did not force him to say those things.

every professional politician on the planet plays their supporters, you just hope that enough falls your way for you to make out a bit better than you were before hand.

That may be true, but this would be like Obama getting up on the stage and saying

"Hey, morons, NO WE CAN'T!"

Of course he played his supporters. When he said he could shoot someone in the middle of the street and his supporters wouldn't care, he was right. Now that he is backtracking on his promises/ideas, they are still lining-up to fall on the sword for him.

Good thing is that we get to watch those dishonest Trump supporters expose themselves as hypocrites.

It is pretty crazy actually. I have now read through this thread and it seems like people really don't care as long as they defend their "side or team".

I don't feel played. I'm happy with his choices so far. Now the left got played pretty good imo. Just look around, they're still in shock they lost. I guess they let fake news determine to many facts for them.

I guess you didn't watch the video, or you don't care that he basically admitted he was just playing a role.

I guess I have higher standards than you.

Those that seek political office do it always for the same reason
Power and Wealth

Donald already had plenty of wealth so that leaves one thing left

More Power over others, it was the one thing he had left and dreamed of for many years.

Sting
You could say I lost my belief in our politicians
They all seemed like game show hosts to me.

The only difference between Hillary, Bush and Trump is which Cronies they serve.
They all admit success is made via purchasing politicians

I think a lot of them know he's mocking them. But they don't care because: 1. they still believe he's better than Hillary, 2. their Republicans now control both the Presidency and Congress, and 3. they'll get to push through the policies they want. Trump could say he lied about the Trump Wall and they'll still overlook it.

I think you are right. I think they are not really concerned with truth or substance, so much as they are concerned with
the appearance of being right. I guess I forget some people are more concerned with feelings and how things appear, than thinking and how think actually are.

I think I am finding out that I think Trumps supporters are worse than Trump himself, they really have no shame or compass.

At least Trump knows he is BSing his brilliant supporters, they actually believe in the things they are angry about even though those things are mostly innuendo based.

I apologize for assuming. I saw the fat oompa-loompa remarks, and given your proclivity for name calling and other base insults, assumed it was you doing the alienating for political reasons.

Just stop with the facetious needling and ad hom attacks, OK? You do not know me or anything about me. You made a ridiculous assumption about something personal to me, based on nothing but your own bias, and you were out of line. Now you "apologize" and attack me yet again with more baseless accusations.

I do not care about politics. I do not have a party affiliation, never have, and never will. Yes, he's a fat oompa loompa and she's the Antichrist. Is that better now that I used my pet name for the opposition, too? They're both equally corrupt, as I have repeatedly stated numerous times over the past year. I dislike them equally.

I will, I hope it works out for us all. One thing I am actually very glad for is that the tension between Russia and the US seems to be better with him. I am afraid though that Putin is just gonna use our country until he can help China kick the dollar out
as reserve currency.

I agree that it is demeaning to his supporters to go onstage and basically 'make fun' of his own supporters.

In a speech today he called his supporters violent, and vicious during the campaign. It's wrong for him to talk down to the people who voted him in. (I know it's cnn but the clip is there to see him saying it)

Damn!

He really has contempt for them. It is funny to see how bad they were punked, but those are Americans he is talking like that to and I am one too.

This new host is terrible. He is not funny and cannot read his teleprompter without sounding like he is reading, which is a sign of low intelligence.

All of these nonsense "comedy" news shows are straight up propaganda. Not only that, but they are shoved onto youtube's "trending" page on a daily basis, without the views to support it. Samantha Bee was on the trending page countless times during the election, and the show has super low ratings and is absolute trash.

People that watch these shows are usually unaware of the bias. This is all just part of the larger social engineering that is taking place.

Or is this thread about the Daily Show now?

Yes.

No, some of us are basing our opinions on observation of his past behavior and comparing it to the probable course of action revealed in his current choices.

You are focusing your discontent solely on the negative, as if the guy has NEVER done a good deed, ever. Believe it or not, Trump has done a lot of good things too.

Basically, the mindset of anti-Trump individuals is the Titanic sank therefore boats aren't safe. It's amazing the amount of psychics ATS has gained with the influx of guarantees of failure prescribed by your ilk. You should start a hotline, ask Madam Cleo for some advice, but then again I'm sure you know what she would say.

PS - I'm not a Trump supporter

If such an intent is the true desire, America is a bad place to start. Lot's of people with lots of guns. It wouldn't go very well for either side.

Yes.

282 Trump Campaign Promises

That's two hundred and eighty-two "promises". I especially like #12, 13, and 14
