It's all America ever really did need.

It hasn't been happening in this left / right shell game as long as I've been able to notice.

And this time it couldn't be more important. Don't forget people, each candidate came in with the highest hated ratings in history. I've seen hordes on each side exclaiming that they're voting against more than they are voting for.

If it turns around and the victory side goes full on sheep, well that's the kind of scenario's that might bring upon the dire stuff the other side has been freaking out about in anticipation.

Just look at this last one. Everyone voted for "CHANGE", and it never came. The "leaders" know how people are sheep. Keep proving them right and they'll keep proving how much contempt they have over our will.

The change we've needed must come from within, if you ever expect it to come from without.

Some still think that they are voting for it.

So sheep is still an insult being thrown around here. when will ATS evolve? Its humorous 'they' are only 'sheep' if they dont think what you think.

People that herd up and blindly follow are sheeple. It's not 'just an insult', it's social psychology (a field of science which the people that run all of the dinosaur mass communications outlets fully understand while most of the people that have always 'depended on it' rarely do). The term goes back at least as far as 1945.

As of late, I would deem you an educator. You've compiled the most recent leaks better than anywhere else I've seen - as a teacher and educator, I would imagine you should see others as an opportunity to enlighten, to understand, to connect with. To call someone a sheep not only is an insult towards them in some ways, but also yourself. You can either be the guy telling the "lemmings" that they're dumb and should wise up, and just act as a self righteous person on a pedestal, letting these lemmings as one might call them fall to their death, or you can guide them away from the metaphorical cliff, and be a leader. One path leads to the result you don't want, while the other could help lead towards the result you do want.

Your character will determine which path you choose, and how effective you are at guiding others to see your lessons and guidance for what they are. Enlightened people are very capable of denying what guidance you offer, no one person is a beacon of truth and honesty or anything.

On the other hand, you can choose yourself to have the qualities of a leader in a world where you may believe people need one.

Are you the man on the chair behind the troops, deeming yourself too important to get into the trenches yourself, or are you the leader out front, willing to show others that you are worthy of their respect, so you can create a following, a movement, a revolution.

The point of all this was to tell people not to be sheep. That shouldn't be an insult. It is a part of human nature, but then again so is violence and self-destruction.

The leader/follower model is a big part of our problems, especially given the system we're trapped in. That's how the world got so screwed up in modern times. Then there's humans as the impossible creature that without it all hell breaks loose. The whole dynamic feeds my pessimism.

The problem isn't in so much as just followers, its the blind loyalty we're so used to seeing come with it. That's what I mean by sheep/sheeple. It's not like everyone needs to read & write entire books like I do, but they still need to try to keep up on things, for example. So we ought to be able to get behind leaders without becoming mindless servants to them too.

I do like to think I'm good at telling people what not to do. And there's been so much of that stuff swell in modern years I've been a busy bee the past 6 months. Society is just so far gone now.

I appreciate your words. Most of the time I feel like I'm just wasting my time. And nothing is more valuable than time.

I think it will take a lot of time and effort for the masses to even come to believe things commonly accepted as fact here on Ats - how many people realize the root of our problems are caused by people mostly in the shadows, who collude with people like the Clinton's who are in the spotlight?

I live in a small town of less than two hundred people, and I'm glad to. I'm away from crazy cities, most violence, crime and such is hundreds of miles away.

Our town is a community of farmers, skilled workers, even the average person with a 9-5 job often has a nice garden, etc.

I take less action than I should because I'm so remote, but I feel some things could happen to send our country into war, famine, disaster and those are the things I need to work on more, to make sure they don't happen, or that if they do, the average person can be better off during the bad times.

Be prepared to hear a few years of "He inherited a mess" if the toupeed one actually wins. The excuses and hand wringing of people dumb enough to believe they ever had a stake in the winning team as their quality of life depreciates before their very eyes will be every bit as drone like and devoid of substance as the crap you've endlessly heard from Obama's nut huggers.

If Hillary wins, it'll be exactly the same. The western world will continue on this merry go round of vapid change porn forever; or at least until there's nothing else to rob from us.
