Bees are alive and well on my property. There's acres of this one type of flowering tree. The trees twice per year are coated with tiny flowers. And when in bloom you go out and find any one of these trees and they'll be a blaze with buzzing from all the bees. And that's how it is for a mile in any direction around here big huge tracts of wooded type properties that contain vast patchworks of these types of trees, and I expect the same honeybee activity is all about around here.

Note that the trees are considered poisonous to humans, but if doesn't deter these little guys. You just wouldn't want to eat their honey around bloom time I suspect.
