It's all Vicious Rumors

When I see too many of the publicity threads and media releases, I always get the "Oh, c'mon" feeling. I really appreciate ATS for it's lurking abilities. I mean, I've seen some people here done a ton of good job. But then what?! For every single profound read, we got ten of the kind "what anonymous said", "what Hillary thinks", "where is Mandela now" and such. See, I do not want to condemn half of the forum sections, yet it is getting hilarious with all this traffic on the mundane topics. It seems that here we have little, or less than the required by an an average intelligence felling for non-dissemination of rumors. And I use the word in this exact meaning:

Because that is what exactly it causes. Confusion, distraction, disorder of thought, etc.

Can we just wisely cut half of the sensationalist-confound brainlessness around? Please.

I agree in regard to some of the political threads. But otherwise, you arrived not long ago. You get what you see.

You can change what you do ot like by creating content.

Political threads most definitely, there is little rationale about them, but it does beg the question if the propriety of some persistent sources is not what it should be, and that the political forum is compromised.

Just to make it clear, I've been for several years around here, come and go, no bye, no introductions. I'm no nice person, neither polite, to do so. Who thinks that needs to know, let him dig into it. I don't have the time to care about it. This said, it is not only the "elections-boom" that goes through my head, the thing that you most rationally concluded.

With the influx of YouTube™ the integrity of journalists went into the toilet. Now nobody checks a story and it seems the mainstream media's whole objective is to receive 'hits'. I'd be happy to click on twice if I didn't have to weed through the chaff to get to the wheat...

Either that or nobody gives a squirt, they got theirs...

You should have been here around 2011/2012. It was a doom porn fest, with all the comets that were out to get us, CMEs and of course fukushima conspiracies and then we had 21.12.2012... and what not. But back then, we had much more active members posting quality threads. I´m not complaining, since I´m not a good thread author.

Without politics threads, how could we enjoy seeing members twist into pretzels while defying the laws of physics to defend the most crooked politician of modern times? Over in the other corner, Trump is entertaining too, especially when he appears to screw up so bad and his numbers go up. Best political season of all time, let the threads flow.
