I want to add a link here despite it being sort of off topic but it's an eye-opening and clarifying read from Reuter's about cyber spying and cyber warfare. There's a lot of older threads I could add it to but this one is very current. Edward Snowden posted a link to it on his Twitter feed and it's dated yesterday. I'm glad I read it. Edward Snowden refers to it as "forgotten history."

I don't know if it's connected to what he says it's time for but it sure is pertinent.

Edited to Add: Yeah, O. came out and stated (today?) no election rigging goes on in the U.S. ROTFLMAO!

Could be...or he has something that would hurt the agency and wants to make some kind of a deal. Who knows.

Thanks....I think we all should pass these tips along as more and more of this nonsense happens...even on normal sites to people.*

*By the way- I have 5 emails (a few more) my 3 primary ones are for the Music Industry contacts, the other Homeland Security business...and my everyday personal one.

The last couple weeks? My personal email...has been getting 700-900 SPAM mails EVERY 3 DAYS...where as my DHS and Music one gets maybe 7-12...

Bastards! Keep the info following how to fight these crashing, flooding, kidnapping creeps!

Thank you again JinMI

I notice spikes in spam mails as well. Usually after visiting unreputable sites. PITA

I was surprised to see that at Reuter's.
America is vastly more of a perp than a victim. Sigh.

As I go about my chores and stuff today, I'm thinking a lot about Edward Snowden (more people have him on their radar now because something significant is happening) and the idea that perhaps there is a major, additional revelation coming from/via him because he said, "It's time," and gave out an encryption key for those who understand what it's for.

Mr. Putin has, of late, been metaphorically jumping up and down trying to warn Western media and us in the U.S. of the build-up going on near it's borders by NATO and the intention of Western factions to "false flag" a war with Russia; a war which Russia will not run from if attacked.

I'd say this simmering, smoldering plot is one of the urgent and looming crises we face.

Edward doesn't like Hillary or Donald and has tweeted about there being other candidates to vote for besides those two.

What I'm thinking, and I don't think Edward is working with Putin and team, is Edward sees (and knows) the writing on the wall about the West trying to force a war with Russia so maybe any revelations possibly forthcoming will have something to do with taking the wind out of the sails of NATO attempting to ignite this war with Russia which could very well turn nuclear.

I don't know but my mind has been mulling that over, for what it's worth.

Well, that I expect...but I dont do unscupulous sites, porn etc...whatever...and it still caught me. The last one was $100 to get rid of the FBI HIGHJACK SCREEN LOCK PAY OR ELSE....then I learned a valuable lesson.> We all have to be even more careful on line.

Just checked JM...and in 30 hours... my main email has 300+ spam mails...yesterday it was 800+

Just summing-up for those trying to catch-up like me:

On Snowden's twitter account, there was cryptic tweet (which has since been deleted), but which had this text in it:

ffdae96f8dd292374a966ec8b57d9cc680ce1d23cb7072c522efe32a1a7e34b0

That looks obviously (to me) like a 256-bit encryption key to something.
However, exactly what is obviously up for grabs.

I saw some posts implying that maybe this is Wikileaks-related?
Like maybe the key for their infamous "insurance file" torrent file link.

That seems (to me) like a huge stretch. It if came from Assange, then maybe- since he's the titular head of Wikileaks. But Snowden? I don't think so.

My presumption, is that it probably the key to some file Snowden gave somebody- maybe Assange/Wikileaks, or maybe some lawyer of his.

There's speculation that maybe this tweet was kicked-off by some "dead-man's switch" (intended to cause the release of information in the event of his death or "disappearence"). Time will tell on that.

Did the Clintons have Snowden murdered to send a message to Assange?

Small update:

The Mirror recently had a post, which included this:

Reporter Barton Gellman, who is currently working on a book about Snowden, reassured people online that the whistleblower was fine.

He wrote:
"1. Everyone requesting proof of life for me and Snowden , take a deep breath.
2. Some tweets have private meaning.
3. My SecureDrop is up."

Gellman had previously tweeted a similar code to Snowden, which people could use to contact him via his SecureDrop online.

So, it seems like maybe it's must how Snowden was exchanging keys or fileID's or whatever for data shared via other means - and more importantly NOT a "dead-man's switch" type of thing.

PS: I noticed they (somewhat incorrectly, as with most media) keep saying he "fled to Moscow". He didn't flee there, he got stuck there on his way trying to get elsewhere.
