by that logic people "think" that black people should still be slaves. and women dont deserve the right to vote right?

You're so cute, it's just adorable

Did your parents honestly let you loose in the big scary world thinking such things?

They deserve a firing line for the injustice they've done you.

Do you have any biases?

Would you want a government authority to punish you for having thoughts that they didn't approve of?

Watch yourself, DBCowboy.....

The feel good brown shirts are out in force... I was just "warned".

Apparently, I need to be "nice" in telling someone how idiotic and sad they really are.

I hope I do get blasted for believing that.

So....sooo cute.

And vapid.

What you fail to realize...is that I'd protect your right to free speech. No matter how clueless you might be.

That's how this works. Sorry if it hurts you, snowflake.

Racism is a touchy subject.

No one likes it, no one wants it.

But people will still be racist.

In a free society you have to accept the fact that there will always be those who who hate people based on their skin color, religion. . .etc.

In a closed society, you'd still have that, but people would be punished for expressing ideas that go against whatever government is running things.

We have to accept that a free society is often an ugly society.

But I will continue to defend free speech. Not necessarily the content, but I will defend the right s of the person to express themselves freely.

I will never be ashamed, or be "shamed" into thinking or believing otherwise.

Yepp.

The kids today, the snowflake millennials....the ones who are lacking any and all rational thought or common sense... They'll catch on.

They'll catch on when they finally realize just how wrong they were. That you cannot have it nicey-nice all the time.

There's a generation that needs to be taken out back to the woodshed, IMHO....and have some sense beaten into them.

The sad part is, these kids will be writing government policy someday.

That's why I will always side with freedom over control.

I guess it is something that comes with age and experience.

Where did I say BLM is to be shut down?

Quote it.

I never once said BLM free speech should be shut down. Not once.

I am merely exercising my right to point out how ludicrous it is.

You just don't like what I have to say. As much as I genuinely dislike what you're passing on as "thought".

So, perhaps....we're even?

so humor me...may i ask how old you are? from your post something gives me the hunch that you are "older"
so tell me throughout your life have you enjoyed freedom? have you been able to say and do what you like?
im not judging so im here to ask...if you are part of the majority race of this country. and you are and were around in the 50s-60s when minority individuals were not given those same rights. doesnt it seem unfair that for your whole life you were able to say and do what you like

and now someone is telling you that you cant sat whatever you like? wouldnt that be so uncomfortable for you just like it was for individuals who have not had rights their whole life. its kind of cool because you get to see what its like for other people to have what they do and say controlled?

but again im not judging only using it as an example it may or may noy apply to you. i have a hunch that it does. so maybe you can give me some insight into your situation throughout your life.

My age, my skin color, my life is none of your business and has no bearing on this debate.

Anecdotal evidence is a waste of time and energy.

It should never have a bearing on whether or not you support freedom of expression.

yeah it does. because you are supporting all speech correct? which includes hate speech

why do you want to support hate speech so much?

is it possibly because you are a hateful individual and it would rain on your parade to have people put you in check for being such a douche?

that is the only logical explanation i can see.

I defend all speech.

I defend free speech.

I don't care if it hurts feelings.

Speech does not infringe upon rights of others.

Actions do.

There are laws that punish those who infringe upon the rights of others. But speech is sacrosanct.
