"President Barack Obama on Thursday called for "a greater sense of urgency" in addressing racial disparity in policing following the controversial fatal police shootings of two black men in two days."
Source
Obama stressed that law enforcement officers have a dangerous job, and the vast majority are doing a dangerous job well and without respect to race.
"To all of law enforcement, I want to be very clear: We know you have a tough job. We mourn those in uniform who are protecting us, who lose their lives," Obama said.
Obama said improving relationships between police departments and the communities they serve reduces crime and helps protect officers' lives.
"When people say 'black lives matter,' that doesn't mean blue lives don't matter. It just means all lives matter, but right now the big concern is the fact that data shows black folks are more vulnerable to these kinds of incidents," Obama said.

I'm 56, have been around and seen some things. I've lived during 10 different presidents and their tenures but I must say I've never seen this much cultural divide (racial/religious/class/authority) and overall disrespect for life than under our current president. And here I thought a minority leader might have created a more unified dynamic. But it seems things have only gotten worse.

So basically the officers who were shot were not regular cops, beat cops, but DART cops used to watching over things like the buses. No wonder they didn't look all that organized to begin with. This isn't their operational purview.
I feel for the family of the one who didn't make it. At least it was only one and not all of them.

id love to say karmas a bitch but only more cops are going to keep getting killed if they keep
killing innocent people. what goes around comes back around sad mad world
What an ignorant thing to post. So cops that have nothing to do with those incidents should die for " Karma"? Can we apply this to all groups? If a woman kills somebody can we have open season on women? Men? Whites? Blacks? Whatever? really?
im not saying its right. your mistaking my comment.
what do they think is going to happen when they keep letting their officers kill innocent people..
