What is so hard about letting people have their say whether one agrees with their speech or not?
The Klan can have their say.
The Neo-Nazis can have their say.
The leftists can have their say.
The anti-abortion people can have their speeches.
The pro-abortion people can have their speeches.
If you don't like or agree with their speeches, walk on by. It's not rocket science. Let 'em talk. It's what this country used as a basic foundation---freedom to speak one's mind without being attacked. Anything less is despotism.

Infringing on others right is now a socially acceptable way to protest.

It isn't a 'far right' rally it is a rally of neo-Nazi's.

Typical spin.

Regardless, this is going to happen with the new violent protester's that 'counter' these types of rallies. People are now being denied their right to free speech without violence being perpetrated upon them.

Welcome to the new America.

Neo-Nazis are far right, that is not spin. Just like communism is far left, facist is far right.

And for those of us that opened up a history book KNOWS the nazis used unions, and pushed socialism during their rise to power.

Because those things were popular all over Europe, well minus Italy... and then what happened Neo? What happened to the unions?

They were slaughtered.

The Nazis were officially named the National Socialist
German Workers’ Party but independent trade unions
had no place in Hitler’s vision for Germany. This was
partly for ideological reasons: the socialist trade unions
were influenced by Marxism, which the Nazis saw as a
Jewish-inspired movement to divide German society.
However, there were more practical factors: the unions
were a barrier to the Nazi aims of bringing all areas of
public life under their control and of winning over the
working class to Nazism.
Attempts to destroy the unions were assisted by the
attitudes of some German business leaders and
conservative politicians, many of whom shared the Nazi
fear of a socialist revolution. More generally, many of
these people felt that the unions had become too
powerful in the 1920s and looked for restrictions on or
even complete abolition of union rights. This was one of
several reasons why many conservatives chose to help
the Nazis get into power and to join or support Hitler’s
government.

There's no need for hyperbole. What went wrong was violence... If you want to shout your beliefs in the street, I can shout my disagreements. We don't have the right to stop each other with violence.

if this were an isolated event, I would agree with you.

But this is becoming the norm. And you can't deny that there is a movement to silence speech, not just counter speech.

This is fascinating.

I like to joke that everyone's nuts, everyone usually laughs and agrees.

It's insightful and relatable.

This thread proves it. I've been saying it for a while. We have a bunch of white supremacists posting here. Look at all the regular posters coming out to support their Nazi friends. The same people crowing about free speech wouldn't say anything if it were a socialist rally and you can guarantee that. You couldn't convince me otherwise that a whole bunch of you are white supremacists. There's even posts cheering the neo Nazis ability to stab more counter protesters than vice versa. Disturbing.

ATS is overrun and the mods have clearly lost the ability to keep this place respectable. I wouldn't recommend ATS to anyone and that's the bottom line to the people who run this site. Stop harboring racists please. It used to be awesome here. Sigh.

Multiple stabbing victims during rally in Sacramento, California

Neo-Nazi rally.

www.rt.com...

Breaking as of an hour ago.

www.msnbc.com...

Multiple people have been stabbed after clashes broke out during a rally outside State Capitol in Sacramento, California. The violence broke out between far-right activists from the Traditionalist Worker Party and counter-protesters.

From twitter:

Mass casualty incident, multiple stabbing victims at State Capitol during rally. SFD crews triaging patients now.

This group has a name. They are clear about their name. They are not the name as branded in the OP or in media. Having done that provokes unrest. This group does not promote hate. They do not promote racial power. They have recognized the state and federal government have labled them as "white" on forms and in speech which is a meaningless word stripped of any root identity. They have taken this nonidentifying generic lable and instead of hating the lable did something positive to the bland generic meaningless lable given to them and created a love type of pride for what the powerful local and state government branded them as. The local and state govetnment are the power. The group recognizes that. This is why they obtained a permit before protesting and why they went to the State Capital. Because they clearly recognize the state and federal power and respect it. The white is not the power because the federal and state government are the power who made up the generic term called "white." The white is now "pride" and now a term "white pride" is well used. White pride is far removed from being a hateful term but the OP and media will have you believe otherwise to incite and provoke unrest. This is not the same as "white power" which often provokes unrest in others if heard or read.

There is no hate from this group in what it stands for. Read what they stand for by going to their website and see for yourself.

This group feels a familyship having formed a group. Getting rid of groups is like getting rid of families. This group that feels familyship is worried about their livelihoods and their children's future in the job market. This group has come together and expressed this. This group reaches out to form kinship with others the state and federal government termed as "white." They would likely take membership of other government and state labled people with other lables than white if they acknowledged the "white" people are being bullied and not given equal status as the other labled groups are.

The physical fighting in itself was based on anger and fear. These are major components of hate. What happened today is not isolated to this group or being white. What happened today happens to individuals. To strangers. In families. It happens to homosexual people, heterosexual people, people of all races and all cultures and all religions.

The hate is mental trauma. Past inherited mental trauma passed down genetically. The hate is also present trauma, minimal morally good ways to support a modern day livlihood. The hate is also percieved future trauma that encompasses the first two.

Most won't acknowledge trauma they have due to fear of ridicule such as people saying, "why do you always act like a victim?" The media delegates the power on who a "victim" is or is not which removes the sting from hearing others say that to them in a mocking or disgusting way.

If the media has power over removing the "sting" from words then the media should excercise due diligence and use their power to present news coverage in a way that gets people thinking about what the real problem is. If good paying jobs were in abundance world wide, we would not see this happening here. When we see this kind of thing happening here we need to fix it not inflame it. People don't have good jobs. "White Europeans" have been enslaved, bullied and mistreated for eons and lost their culture.

American Patriots and Nationalism is widely being frowned upon more so if one is "white" as the "white european" wealthy classes in their ancestral nations view us as "criminal" for our ancestors having broken away from them forming a new Free Nation due to their past denial of taking care of their own Nation's immigration issues and leaving their people to battle it out. Sick of the gross power and crap, the United States was formed. Now those Nations have little to say as immigration is destroying them, forced to look at themselves instead of using "white" Americans as their scapegoats.

Dear Brokedowntoyota,

I know a car is a car and a truck is a truck and they are all mere vehicles, but you're a toyota. "What difference does it make?" You're not a Chevy. Even though you made it clear you are a broken down Chevy, you sound very broken toyota-ish.

Yours truly,

I think that the lesson learned is that they need to be legally carrying firearms at ALL future legal rallies.

When the leftist brownshirts attack peaceful demonstrators-they should be taught a lesson.

We have the right to defend ourselves from harm in the U.S.
