Thank you. It's harder to be self reflective during the good times. Too busy living them to self reflect. Maybe I need to work on that, instead of letting the worst of times being when I'm most self focused. Thank you for the advice.

"The wall, it's, kind of, a mental barrier. It's like, you now how sometimes there's a word at the tip of your tongue, it's a word you know you know, but try as you might you can't force yourself to remember it... Well it's like that but for things you need to do.

Like, for example, in psychology in college, we had a paper at the end of the class, if I turned in literally anything I only needed 20% on the paper, I'd have an A in the class and be allowed to skip the final.

But every time I sat down to do it, bam I hit the wall, I was non functional. No matter how much I tried, cried, attempted to make myself do anything, I just couldn't. All I could was sit there in tears and frustration. I never turned in the paper, and as a result no matter how I scored on the final the best I could get was a B, which is what I got as I nailed the test of course.

Ummm...I know exactly what you mean by your description...when I was in school...I would learn a math formula during class...yet when I got home to do my homework the formula was gone from my memory...no amount of notes or tears or trying helped...It was as you stated..."a wall" an internal wall that slammed down...I simply could not remember how to do it...I told my teacher about the problem I was having...I begged for help...but she just chalked it down to "I didn't want to do the work"...It was so frustrating...I was honestly pleading for help and being told I was lazy...I really wanted to learn but after a while of this...I became her description...I ceased trying...I shut down and never handed in another assignment...

I never went to college...how could I when I couldn't pass the entrance exams...I became insular...I'd always been introverted anyways...One long line of working from the bottom to the top and then setting myself up for failure...leaving my position as management...and moving on to the next bottom rung...Climb up the ladder only to climb back down...on and on and on...

My inner strife worked it's way into expression through writing...through poetry...but every time I have wished to utilize my talent in any professional sort of way...down comes the wall...and the voice of that teacher rings again in my mind...your just lazy...too stupid...too inept...doomed to fail...your a failure...

I don't really think there's any need to cull those such as you and I...because we tend to self cull...

So I meditate...I pray...I write some more...I reach for some external answer...when the problem only ever lays within...
like an old familiar vinyl record...caught in that last groove...endlessly looped...

So here...after all these years...these decades that slipped so swift into aging...I fight that battle...I fight those impulses to...self cull...
One day though...I know...I will give up that battle...lay down for the last time...look never again on the wonder that kept me here...the awe that was my constant companion...as my breath slows...as my conscious self opens that door into what comes after...I will walk through...hear the click of the lock as the door swings shut behind me...and tarry here no more...

I honestly wish I had some truth filled platitude to offer...some better articulated thought that might have the answers you seek...

However...I will wish you well my friend...I will say to you that however my own life is eventually written to a close...May yours be even more blessed than my own...Cling not to that voice...to that wall...
Have the courage to take up mallet and chisel...break that wall before it breaks you...
Accept who and what you are...
Fully express your talents and share them with the world...do not let such gifts fade away...the world has need of them...and of you...

I have that mental wall as well, for me, it was math tests. I would go in thinking I knew and even knowing that I know and then it just gets pulled away at the slightest difference in how I remember all the equations looked. The "wall" was not born from lack of confidence, it has to be something deeper somehow. I think it might be my high functioning asperger's. Puppylove, look up the symptoms of asperger's if you have not already, not saying you have it, but if you do it would at least help clear up the issue a bit.

I have wondered if leaving the class room (with permission) and just yelling as loud as I can would help or somehow breaking something.

As for the whole life's not fair crap, it can be fair, people just want more and faster out of those under them. There are too many people like this who are not happy getting a steady paycheck from their workers, they have to have that slow non-linear growth curve. Yet for some reason, you "have" to be happy with steady pay. That said, NEVER work in retail, ever! Try finding something like factory work, assemble line or maybe soup kitchen, pick a job that stays the same and or does not exploit, something that does not have high turn around or hires students.

Culling, that's why people like doom... porn. I would rather be taken to another planet that feels like my real home.

No one is worthless.

The "modern" system is flawed, and no one can toil away at their job, at the demanded pace for long before they will break down from the constant strain.

We were not designed to work as the current system demands.

Actually, we were 'designed' to last about 35 years at most, just long enough to make sure the next generation was on its way, I am past my allotted bible life span because of good food, good clothing, good housing, and good cleanliness, otherwise I would have popped of years ago, and yes, human males were designed to run after our food, perhaps for hours on end, then fill our stomachs and rest for a day or two, make bows and arrow, spears, proses the animal hide, keep the fire going, not how we live to-day, sorry ladies, male shuavanist pig here.

Really? You asked should we all turn into demon murdering hellbound freaks.

EARTH IS A TEST. Mother's energy is equality. She nurtures and caretakes little children and though our evil banking elites have encouraged women to walk out on children and work outside the home, mom's are needed in the home.

Dad's energy is Freedom, he is the caretaker and the worker outside the home.

In freedom however, opposed to theocracy, women also have choices, and men have choices.

But money is not god, so making choices to satisfy Rothschild's instead of what you know is right and your child is evil.

The actual lessons in the female and male energy is Eutopia, no banks, no real estate agents. You look after your family.

Some people are born gifted with energy, health and extrovert social gifts, and they usually get jobs fast, others are shy and awkward and without huge university credentials they often don't get jobs.

The ones with the social skills abuse them and exploit others about 80% of the time.

This world is created to reward EVIL and Abuse.

Instead of thinking, I'm a dud I don't fit into dog eat dog demonic hellzones, think, HOW CAN I FORM GROUPS OF EMPOWERED CITIZENS, AND HELP CREATE AN EQUAL AND FREE WORLD, LAND AND RESOURCES WHICH BELONG TO ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL UNLESS SOMEONE IS ABUSING AND DOMINATING OTHERS, WHICH IS A FAIL ON THE TEST BY THE WAY, SO THE ONLY LEGAL AND PASS ANSWER IS THE LAND AND RESOURCES BELONG TO ALL EQUALITY.

SO SOMEONE TAKING THAT RIGHT TO SURVIVE WITHOUT EXPECTATIONS OF SLAVERY IS A CRIME AGAINST ALL SOULS AND A DIRECT CRIME AGAINST YOU, A DIRECT IOU WHERE THEY ANSWER TO YOU IN THE END, HAS BEEN FORMED.

Don't be programmed to think poorly of yourself for not fitting into a hellzone.

But think of others, you're not the only one, so being less concerned for self and more concerned for others and thus forming groups is a great thing to do, and over time, coming up with business ideas or skills to gain if possible.

You count more than a million Rockerfellers or Rothschild's, they lost their souls and decency long ago and resemble the monsters in the movie Hostel.

Let them cull themselves.

By the way, these are things I've known since infancy. Was raised in a big socially aware, democratic socialist family and relatives who nonetheless argued every detail out all the time. And from 2 on voiced my opinions. I just knew it was all about Kids, Family, Equality, and that earth is a library of knowledge. ie. without domination, ie without treating women like second class citizens, you have to study what the different energies are here, and what is really important is right in front of you.

But that being said, all of us want to develop talents and gifts, and would love to use them. And even women don't like repeating the same dishes and laundry and cleaning tasks every day, without end, and poverty isn't fun either.

So, if this is about the world and not being the kind of person who fits into it easily and gets jobs easily, the above post is important, if its about not developing self and lack of funds: meditate. make lists of what you really want to learn and do, and even what your current talents are, and develop them. You don't need an employer to vindicate your abilities. You can gradually create your own dream job, if you don't give your power away, your own business.

Some people who don't fit into the world, don't worry about themselves as much however because they know, they remember from early years in some cases, that they came from a wonderful Eutopia and that this is just a test, like a 2 week practicum, no time to your soul, without memories to see what you're made of.

And not passing it has nothing to do with financial success in this corrupt world, it has to do with not harming or dominating others.

The whole purpose of life is overcome you base instincts including anger and domination, the weaknesses in your body suit, ie lower Mind , and meditate, heal up in nature and gain Higher Mind, enhanced Spirit, Peace and Love.

So not worrying about self but trying to empower those without a voice, or helping someone in your town/city, that is important, and its default position if you don't have a calling and really don't know what to do, and feel trapped, then find others who don't have the health or energy you have, perhaps shut in, and try to help them.

The only question Earth Asks in the Tests: Are you Kind? Be Kind! Ark = Acts or Random Kindness!

I feel useless, don't worry you have purpose, much more then you can imagine.

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Living in a third world city, The idea does cross my mind....

Out in public I often find myself muttering the phrase "effin savages."

But, I know I'm no better than them,...or you.

I suppose my mind says Yes to cull, but my heart says No.

Should we be culled? No. If you eliminate the bottom 10% of society (to throw out a random number) all you'll end up with is a new bottom 10% who must also then be culled. You can't eliminate people in order to make the remainder prosperous. Even if the entire world were eliminated with the exception of billionaires, some are worth 50 billion while others are worth 1 billion, and those 1 billion people would be considered poor.

As far as success goes, you live in America, a country where you are overwhelmingly likely to die broke, hungry, and tired, where the only thing you will probably pass on to your descendants is ignorance and debt and where you face a 60% chance of having less purchasing power than someone on minimum wage had in the 50's. That's simply the way it is.

I used to work for a company that considered I was on call 24x7x365 1/4 . I would be called when there was a client issue going ballistic. I probably saved this company millions in contracts. I developed high BP , nearly had a stroke several times , and diabetes. The stress level was amazing. But , I never lost one. Turned all the bad situations good at the cost of my mental and physical health . Then I got layed off. Best thing that ever happened . Found a job where I dictated work hours and conditions. No , I dont make as much but at least I am regaining my sanity and my well being
Always a bright side.

From an Darwinian view point, perhaps letting nature run its course would advance our species.
That, however, is not my view point. I think if you ask the right people, you could get the help you probably need. But when it comes to me having to take care of you through no choice of my own, I must ask: How much do I owe you?

Perhaps thinking of others may help you break through that monthly wall. Most jobs suck and of course you are going to fired if you do not show up. Employers are relying on you. They have every right to find someone that will take the job seriously. The are counting on you. Remember that.

The best thing to do is make sure you are living a healthy lifestyle. Sounds like you have depression issues. I hope you are able to find the help you need with that.

Stop assigning your laziness and inability to deal with failure on to the rest of us. Humans are meant to deal with the daily toil of life and most of us do it with a smile. The rest of you, well you vote for 78 old socialists who promise to steal money from others through the force of government so you can have it.

Sure, but you have to make it enjoyable. You cant have an enjoyable life off the hard work of someone else.

The vast majority of people who don't have an enjoyable life are either retired and unable to work, or do work. The typical poor person in the US works 50 hours a week for $14,000/year. Are you going to claim they're not working and are leeching off of others?

Take the OP, he/she works 7 days a week (which again, is pretty typical among poor people). Is that right? The last job I held was the same way, officially it was 25 hours/week paid hourly, unofficially it was one of those jobs where you were assigned a certain amount of work (50-60 hours of work per week) and it was up to you to get it done with it basically going unsaid that if you wanted to keep the job you would work unpaid. That's how the real world works.
