Sharknado 4!

I am an unlikely fan of this movie franchise. I don't like blood particularly.

But this has captured my heart. I love the fact they know the premise is flimsy and have just run with it and I believe made a new cult classic.

How ridiculous can they go!

Do you want April to live or die?

At least we both know where you are going to watch this so called "movie".

I am an unlikely fan of this franchise too. I never planned on watching them. To spend quality time together, my 'virtual husband' (who I am married to in wartune only) and I will talk on the phone and watch the same movie on the internet. He had watched enough that I picked, so when he asked if I had seen Sharknado I said 'NO', in sort of a way that sounded like I bit into a lemon.

He told me I would have fun watching it and he insisted we watch it. I loved it, to my great surprise and we also watched the next 2 in the following couple of weeks.

I can;t wait for 4!!!

flimsy ?? You call killer sharks falling from the sky over and over and over flimsy?
The banality of modern American entertainment is best exemplified by the Sharknado series.

edit. Oh cripeies, I just noticed that your are Mrs. Nonspecific. I take it all back. Sharknado is the peak of cultural expression worth of the great classics such as the Three Stooges and Wuthering Heights. Please do not hold my earlier statement against me as now that I know who you are I am in fear of my lATS status as I am deathly afraid of Mr. Nonspecific as he bears a striking resemblance to my father when he was angry.

You are missing out on some tongue in cheek brilliance.

When Sharknado 3 came out I joined twitter especially and it was great reading people's comments on a movie I was watching with them. The movie is hilarious!

It cracks me up and my mind doesn't have to work so hard for about an hour and a half. there is a place for movies like that.

I love the fact they brought Sharknado out in genuine 'This a movie we have made in all seriousness' and then they hit on one of the rarest combinations in movies. It is so bad it is good.

I do suppose that as a satirical statement about the entire demise of the movie industry I can understand it. And campy? Yeah, I have always liked camp. For instance there was a movie out years ago called Amazon Women from Beyond the Moon. Camp extraordinaire. Played around a late night tv watcher back in the 70s surfing the channels and always coming back to a satire of an old sci fi movie from the 50s. Now that was camp. But I must say that Sharknado to me is more like cramp.

No offence to those that like thsee films..
But if I watched any of these sharknado movies, I would be upset that I wasted 2 hours of my life which could have been spent doing something useful. They truly are awful.

Guess it's kinda like the marmite movie. You either love it or hate it..

You are missing out. Give it a go. You can always just turn it off.

I came into it with cynical eyes but it has won me over.

I didn't watch two, but apparently it is worth a skip to 3. You won't have missed much plot.

How are there 4 sharknado movies but only one season of Firefly...

There's something terribly wrong in the world today.

You haven't seen Rick & Morty? Great series... just awesome.
Hilarious, great sci-fi, plots and very good social commentary.

Here's a thread

www.abovetopsecret.com...

OK OK... back to Sharknado.

But seriously, check out R&M - it's genius.

Why not? It's a bit of fun.

What would you rather watch instead which of the same B-Movie variety?
