Come on folks. The topic is taking action. Contact Microsoft, and tell them what you think and want.
Don't just complain about it here.

Have you written or contacted Microsoft to let them know you don't like the direction they are taking?
I encourage you to do so.
pretty sure I am not being recorded and spied on, considering I know how to use the os...

Good point but... would Microsoft be concerned that people don't like what they are turning out?
The PC industry doesn't have many options when it comes to Op Systems.
What I wish would happen is that somebody would take MS to court and say that old OS's that have been cast aside, can be taken and upgraded by others to be resubmitted for use.
Like... used cars.

So, who is forcing you to be at the mercy of this horrendous operating system.
You have free alternatives, that so many people rave about.
Yet demand that something you choose to use, be something you prefer over what is on offer?
I might lobby Ford to make cars with wings so I can fly, do you think if I get enough people to complain about wingless cars we will get them to stop what they're doing and obey us?
Or ... do I just go buy a small plane, perhaps... idk, I demand something anyway...
Don't buy it. I'm sure that would cause them more concern to listen, than people just telling them how to run their business..

You don't own the software when you purchase it, you are just licensed to use it. But by all means if you want to use an outdated version of Windows that no longer will be receiving security updates be my guest. Just don't complain about poor MS security when you have a problem.
I have had zero problems with Win 10 functionality, other than some annoyances. It's stable and fast. But I do have problems with Microsoft's continued hybrid approach to the UI, instead of releasing a polished and finished product.

The design changes starting with Windows 8 weren't a failure to "release a polished and finished product." They're simply following current design trends that eschew skeuomorphism and gimmicky ornamentation in favor of cleaner design and seek to provide uniformity across multiple platforms (including SaaS web apps). This isn't something that is unique to either Windows, Microsoft products or even operating system.
Remember how popular Myspace once was? I believe a large part of what enabled Facebook to rapidly dismantle Myspace's enormous market share was a backlash against the excessive customization of Myspace profiles.
By all means push back about what you don't like but you should also understand that what you're seeing isn't a result of a lack of concern.

But have you written them, Murgy?
I have most of my Windows games running under linux at this time.
