Up to 50 people have been quarantined

after an employee opened envelope with a suspicious powdery substance in an United States Customs office in Alameda, California.
A 2:43 pm emergency call was made reporting the employee feeling sick immediately after opening the envelope, KNTV reported.

Maybe the guy was already sick and it was a coincidence?

Or the person opened it, immediately thought back to all the brainwashing tv they had watched in the last twenty years, and decided they must have just been the victim of 'terrist

Illness is very easily self inflicted via mental state

either that or he sniffed it and found out it was an illegal substance.....but was unfamiliar with the result....?

Spot on. Right after eating a meal announce to those who ate with you that you feel sick, and watch them one by one start to feel unwell.

Reminds me of the anthrax scare shortly after 9/11. White powdery substance in mailings causing respiratory problems.
