And yes, Republicans are overwhelmingly Christian. They have become caricatures of themselves.

I just googled and found that polls say that 50% of Republicans identify as being Christian.
40% of Democrats identify as being Christian.
Not really a huge difference.

Republicans are OK with authoritarianism directed outside America's borders. Democrats are OK with it directed into America's borders. There's your difference. It's why the liberals lost their SNIP over the first run of the Patriot Act (which dealt predominantly with wiretaps and snooping on calls directed outside the US) but saw no issue when the second round of changes were made, establishing a laundry list of internal NSA eavesdropping on Americans and activities inside America's borders.

We're looking for someone who will throw massive authoritarian American weight around the world stage while remembering the 10th Amendment largely limits DC to only that world stage and requires them to butt the hell out of state level decisions, laws, and operations. Conversely, the liberal dictates call for less state powers and more federal powers to "save us from ourselves."

Needless to say, I find the premise of the OP's article to be... how can I put this delicately and with tactful grace? Uh... horseSNIP

Planners, what plan have you for each "able" participant prior to their allowance into the market?

What association, allegiance, certification or pretense shall be required for admittance?

As long as you can breathe, you can participate.

I understand your myopic understanding of things leads you to think there must be a "test" to participate, but I am not like Trump and his idiotic policies.

And with Anarchy there is no personal property either. Personal property entraps and enslaves people. People are owned by their property.

That's what people say that don't have any....sounds good to wrap some perceived achievement failure in an ideological meme.

And under SOCIALISM for the win.

People are OWNED by the STATE.

Without the possibility of parole, and the OPPORTUNITY to become their own MASTER.

Both sides being controlled by the same entities.....
How can any of youse differentiate ......
In My view the majority of people desire authority to ruin their lives as they are too stupid or lazy or indifferent to rule themselves...

I don't know why.

Since one of their own wrote it.

Biden himself draws parallels between his 1995 bill and its 2001 cousin. “I drafted a terrorism bill after the Oklahoma City bombing. And the bill John Ashcroft sent up was my bill,” he said when the Patriot Act was being debated, according to the New Republic, which described him as “the Democratic Party’s de facto spokesman on the war against terrorism.”

Joe Biden Drafted the Core of the Patriot Act in 1995 … Before the Oklahoma City Bombing

Yes. Authoritarianism is the topic. A group of people being branded authoritarian is.

And individual freedom, which includes individual ownership is it's opposite.

I'm just clarifying that people constitute the market economy and they are synonymous with what is referred to as 'society'.

I don't believe those percentages.

100% of Democrats worship at the alter of Statolatry.

That religion is cooler.

So I thought that your title was interesting, that it might offer some insight, or maybe not, into the nature of so much of our electorate. I found two things.
One was that yes, it does offer some possible insight, and as I was only interested in 'hearing' this point of view, I was not going to take it all in as absolute proof of anything.

The other thing I found was that your OP was immediately pounced on by the very next poster and sent completely off the rails. And you followed. You allowed yourself, I suppose because of your interest in ideas and discussion, to treat that poster as a person of the same interests. So then, instead of maintaining a good discussion with others replies based upon the OP, you allowed yourself to get dragged down into that first members predictable talking points.

I do not know how to deal with these types of members, be they real, be they paid shills or be they fifteen year olds playing at the old Monty Python argument game, other than to just ignore them. They never budge all the while making negative innuendos at their victims mental processes.

Better to be owned by your own property than be owned by State Property and Authoritarians.

But it depends on which "Anarchy" you're talking about.

Which is what everyone should be doing.

The entire practical aim of politics is one side trying to convince the other side they are 'better'.

It's a false choice fallacy.

Every election cycle Reds say vote for them.'We're Awesome'.

Every election cycle the Blues say vote for them. 'We're Awesome'.

The reality is neither one is awesome. and millions of Americans are caught up in the Matrix.

Some people choose the red pill.

Some people choose the blue pill.

Only in real life. There is no Morpheus. To take us out of the Matrix.

I find it ironic that the Right keeps claiming the Left wants to control people.

Here's your mirror.

As someone who is firmly in the middle it became readily apparent to me that both sides wish to impose their will on others. They are two sides of the same coin.

I don't see that at all.

What the Left forces - - is Equality - - and that everyone gets a chance.

Totally not the same thing.

They do not force equality, they force their version of equality.

If there were equality, everyone would be equal.

Instead some are more equal.

Affirmative action etc...

That is not equality, that is stacking the deck.

Thanks glad i'm not alone.

We are many, despite the propaganda and rhetoric.

It is meant to try to convince you that you are the minority , and you should just give up.

Don't, we are winning!

As I've told my kids, there is equal and there is fair. They're not the same and they should never get them mixed up.
