I don't know. It makes for a nice public works project to stimulate the economy by reducing unemployment, and it's a pretty cool tourist attraction.

I'm kind of torn by all of this. I have a fence around my yard to keep my dogs in and intruders out, but I don't want to vote for Trump. Politics can be so confusing.
It would be all show and no go. Imagine the PR fiasco the first time someone manages to get around, through, under or over the Great Wall of Trump?

That's a nice post, but it means very little.
The primary engine of society is the people. The market is secondary to people and the market's health is dependent upon the people's ability to engage in it.

Yeah, in Socialism the government owns all major industries and production. You can't get more authoritarian than that.

The author of the study said "authoritarian": in an attempt to smear.
But change authoritarian to assertive or aggressive, and you end up with good qualities required in a leader.

Consider the early Christian churches.
Tangent warning.
We are on a topic about Trump and Authoritarianism, not early Christian Churches.

One word for Trump supporter. Kindergarten. That's where when you have a disagreement with someone you insult them instead of using a logical argument to support your ideas. LOL

Authoritarian. Pretty vague. Hard to describe yourself or someone you know that way.
But if Authoritarian means following a strong leader, Democrats are the exact opposite. Obama, Hillary, Sanders, B. Clinton, Carter...they all easily fit into the category of NOT a strong leader. More of a tell each different group what they want to hear and hope they don't offend anyone "leader".
So I guess in a way it makes sense.
That's what I was thinking.
