New ATS Home Page (And More) Is Now Live...

A revamped, refreshed, renewed, much-faster and more informative new ATS home page has just launched. Sorry for the odd css kerfluffle a few moments ago. Something got weird in the migration of files from the development server to the live server. All is well now.


The New ATS Home Page is much more content-dense than the previous version. Not just in the number of threads now being show, but also new indicators for the replies and flags for each. Also, the sidebar contains addition top/hot threads.

I've also integrated more obvious navigation to our broad-category pages, which are often overlooked. Five topics down, you'll see a menu with access to (also newly redesigned) category pages:
Alternative News Topics
Conspiracy Topics
Political Topics
Current Events
Mysterious Subjects
Science & Technology
Off-Topic
These newly redesigned broad-category pages also have deeper-dives in the sidebar, including newest threads.

Yes, there have been some minor font changes. Primarily to remove the need for the Google web fonts.

Why is it that I dont have the ability to give stars anymore?

It may be the font conflicting with the background. I always thought the font had a little glow to it which looked great on a solid background but makes the text appear blurry when the haze of the glow cannot be easily defined.

I just noticed on the top Sci/Tech page that on the right where it says "Hottest SciTech Topics" and "Newest SciTech Topics" it is missing a /.
Not being picky, I imagine you would want to know of these inconsistencies as they are easily fixed.




The same is true of the off-topic section. Now I am thinking that it is because it is multiword titles. There is no -.

I like the new font. Would be great if you applied it across the board.

Just played around with it a bit. VERY user friendly and I love it. Easy navigation. Looks like you put a lot of work into this , and it paid off.

This is a really nice look, well done.

Well, I must say I am impressed with the new front page, and you are absolutely right. It is far more effective and efficient, in terms of data transmitted per page load. I like it!

Nifty background image code on the front page carouselling what seems like the series of ten pics below. Could you say something about them? What building is the first pic there? What do the Japanese-like characters mean in the grey drawing, and who have managed to piss of the coppers in pic number 01? And is that a Banksy in the 9th one?
