Ending Poverty is Impossible without Globalization

Without Globalization, it's impossible to end poverty and here's why. As long as countries exist without laws to protect the common worker, as long as countries exist without real human rights laws, there will always be safe havens for corrupt and exploitative business practices.

As is often pointed out, businesses are, to a degree, obligated, to do everything in their power to make as much profit as they can using any means they can get away with. This can mean everything from sweat shops to child slavery, we all know these things happen. Business go to where the people are most easily exploited, where desperation is greatest.

Corporations are a global entity, they are not restricted by state or country, they can go anywhere and take advantage of any countries laws and regulations and in doing so use those to their advantage while ignoring the laws and regulations of many countries with more strict laws and and regulations. This allows them to find the most exploitable workers, as well as tax havens for the profits they make. As global entities they can pick any country and laws that best support themselves, everyone else be damned.

Now before anyone mentions that not all businesses are doing this, that's true. But that's because they recognize that some level of balance and subterfuge needs to be maintained to avoid chaos and annihilation.

Basically what it comes down to is, the only real way to regulate the economy, protect workers, and promote human rights is to be able to do so globally, because as long as exceptions exist, exploitation remains easy for corporations and big business. Big business is global, the laws that protect the people from exploitation is not.

To protect the worker we must do so world wide, or we're doomed to failure.

Oh yes, a One World Totalitarian Government will make sure all the plebes are equally miserable while the political class is above the law.

Joy.

An easier solution would be fair tax tariffs to prevent exploitation. If your nation is a slave labor nation, then there is a tariff on your exports.

They're above the law already, at least with a global government the people can rise up as one and say screw you, and make changes they can't just go somewhere else to get around.

A one world government traps them more than it traps us.

A disarmed people will not rise up.

It is a fact that any one world government would be corrupt, totalitarian, and oppressive.

The problem with NWO Global plans is they skim too much big money off the top.

Kinda like those tele-marketer charities that keep 95% of the proceeds from program drives.

Wrong, it's happened many times. There's no such thing as disarmed. People have learned to fight with hands bound, people have turned farm implements into deadly weapons all in the name of fighting tyranny.

Nay....

I argue that extreme unapologetic NATIONALISM is the answer.

No. Just No.

A world where all nations are treated as equals and big nations ie USA incorporated don't get to bully smaller ones to get the resources and money they want from them yes.

We will all be worse off under a one world government.

Their NWO plans don't matter, it's a trap for them. Once we're one people, one government, we need uprise just once.

I don't believe the corporations want an NWO I think they want the conspiracy to scare people off. In the end it really doesn't benefit them.

Is like coke and pepsi, they help each other profit far better as competitors than as one company.

Based off of what?

Corporations would love nothing MORE than a borderless world where human/workers rights and poverty are subjective and they control the playing field. Just look at the short history of the EU and what it has done to once sovereign nations.

Globalism is the cancer and people are seeing it for what it is.

I assume you are under 30 years of age? You have not been enlightened with history nor the reality of the corruption of mankind. This is the kind of Utopian fairy tales I hear the college crowd spout.

Globalization is only good for bankers and companies that can profit from exploiting the differences in wages between nations. Globalization wastes 1/3 of the worlds oil (and resulting pollution) shipping materials, goods and foods that can be produced locally. Currently we are living in a titanic. If calamity strikes China, rest of the world would have difficulty supplying basic goods to their population. Compartmentalization ensures the survivability of the human race.

Confidential data from maritime industry insiders based on engine size and the quality of fuel typically used by ships and cars shows that just 15 of the world's biggest ships may now emit as much pollution as all the world's 760m cars. Low-grade ship bunker fuel (or fuel oil) has up to 2,000 times the sulphur content of diesel fuel used in US and European automobiles.

You are making one colossal assumption. Namely that all the people speak with the same voice and have the exact same ideas about what constitutes tyranny, oppression, unfair practice, etc.

You also make another assumption. That any global governance entity would care what the people thought. We already have a national government that could care less what we, the people think, despite all the pretty phrases in our foundational documents about how they are supposed to be our government for us and by us.

And do you think they care what we think?

Of course not, they think they know better and are right now engaged in ruling us in that manner. A global government would be even worse because they would be even more isolated from those they would claim to represent.

Rise up and what? You know that most times in history, an uprising simply installs another totalitarian regime that generally is as oppressive as the last one.... and sometimes even worse!

History.
