I doubt China is willing to do anything substantial regarding NK, if they went in to sort out Kimmy boy they would then be responsible for the welfare of millions of North Koreans, a very expensive option, sadly.
I say sadly because we often forget the miserable lives of the average North Korean people... eating grass to survive... whole generations of families never seeing the outside of forced labour camps.

Guess this is your Monkey Wrench in your "Bad bad N.Korea" propaganda campaign:

North Korea says peace treaty, halt to exercises, would end nuclear tests

Here's N.Korean diplomatic response:

"Still valid are all proposals for preserving peace and stability on the peninsula and in Northeast Asia including the ones for ceasing our nuclear test and the conclusion of a peace treaty in return for U.S. halt to joint military exercises," North Korea's official KCNA news agency cited a spokesman for the country's foreign ministry as saying early on Saturday.

Here's united states. . . err. . . S.Korea's response:

But asked if the United States would consider a halt to joint exercises, U.S. State Department spokesman John Kirby said it had alliance commitments to South Korea.

"We are going to continue to make sure the alliance is ready in all respects to act in defense of the South Korean people and the security of the peninsula," he told a regular news briefing.

So in a nutshell - NO - united states WANT to keep the Korean peninsula in a "Perpetual State of War"

*** N. Korea to US: Stop drills, sign peace treaty if you want end to nuclear tests

Pyongyang also wants an end to the US undertaking military exercises with South Korea. In August, 2015, North Korea warned the US it would “respond accordingly” if Washington did not cancel military exercises with Seoul.

Well, DUH! What else can any other country expect from the MOST WAR-MONGERING country in the world!??

At least ONE country is offering PEACE - when the other is offering WAR!

Not at all.. In case you missed it N. Korea invaded S.Korea, starting this mess. The US and other countries present in S. Korea are present at the request of S. Korea and authorized by the UN.

If kimmy were serious about peace they should stop threatening to rain down terror on S. Korea and the US.

Our presence is defensive and will remain that way until Kimmy settles down. Secondly N. Korea has played the bait and switch game to the point they arent believed anymore. I would wager if a treaty is signed Kimmy would continue the nuke tests to the point of trying to extort something else from other countries.

Little Kimmy doesn't have a lot of time left. At the rate he is mismanaging / miscalculating his government is going to implode and thats only if a coup doesn't occur first.

Because they can so you should stop being jealous of it.

S. Korea was not taken over by the US so check the typical propaganda at the door.

N. Korea has the 4th largest military in the world and S. Korea can request what ever help they want from what ever nation they choose. Just like N. Korea does.

The fact you are bouncing all over the place while posting pictures with lame caption tells me you have nothing of substance to add.

Like I said nothing of substance to the debate / conversation. You went from peace treaty to making false claims about S. Korea.

Wanna try again and maybe make it relevant and on topic?

The US is the wrong country to ask since its the 2 Korea's that are still at war. The question should be will S. Korea accept it. Given the history of N. Korea its doubtful.

ad yet the fact remains its up to S. Korea and not the US. Secondly where in this peace offer does it include S. Korea?

Oh wait.. it doesn't include S. Korea. They want a treaty with just the US. My guess is its an attempt to remove the US from S. Korea so the North gets an upper hand when dealing with S. Korea.

If the north were serious the peace would include all involved nations and not just the US.

Germany invaded the world yet 50 years on and relations have stabilized. It's possible, however, I think China would rather risk a belligerent but easy to control neighbor as a buffer, rather than have a unified country that could agree to more US bases on Chinese borders. They would probably like unification if the north or Chinese leaning governments were put in place. I don't see that happening.

Way to shift goal posts - Pretty pathetic that N.Korea has to offer peace treaty to U.S. instead of S.Korea - Just shows who's actually in charge in S.Korea. . . But hey, don't provide proof that S.Korea can speak for themselves w/out U.S. puppeteering them. . .

Thanks for highlighting that!

No it means lil kimmy wants the US out of S. Korea to better their chances of winning a war lil kimmy is going to start. Secondly the US doesnt control S. Korea as much as you want to believe it does.

A peace treaty should include all nations involved in the UN mandate and not just the US. We have a right to defend our allies just as thoose 2 or 3 countries that support N. Korea.

If kim wants peace then why offer it to one nation? Sounds like he wants war and is trying to hedge his bet.

Still encouraging U.S. control over S.Korea - figures.

N.Korea doesn't want war - You dummy. Thats the propaganda that you're gobbling up. Hence the Peace talks. However, united states & their M.I.C. doesn't want Peace nor Unification. You should know better than that. . .

Why United Nations? S.Korea is a Non-Permanent Member. . .

Why do you always fall back on United Nations in your discussions?

LoL - what nation should N.Korea offer Peace too? United States? On one hand you say that S.Korea isn't puppeteered by united states & then you say "why offer it to one nation?" Hypocrisy much. . .

This again, highlights my discussion . . .

Speaking of propaganda - S.Korea does, N.Korea does as well:
North Korea retaliates against South with loudspeaker propaganda

This discussion is over.

North Korea offers peace and threatens death a destruction sometimes on the same day. In both cases they are simply tools to try and get some kind of concession from the South or the West. They have been playing games like this since the war.

If the North was ever serious about a treaty the US would have no problem with it but, nobody would trust the North with a formal peace or not. They have never bother to follow any agreement before. China does not even take anything they say seriously as they have been declared dear allies and back stabbing traitors (for trade deals with the south) all in the same week. Their are mechanisms in place for the North to call a formal meeting and offer a formal deal with the US/RoK/UN if the wish to do so. Until that happens everything out of the North remains just talk.
