Let me just say first that death threats are WRONG, no matter what.

That aside, I can totally see why someone would be offended at this photo. I sort of get the duct tape over the mouth, but why the binding of the wrists? What is that supposed to say? I might have been okay with only the woman bound and gagged, but the little girls bound and gagged went over the line for me.

I think everyone has their personal line drawn at what they don't find funny anymore. If a Muslim guy and his white non-Muslim friend decided to post a picture where the Muslim dressed up like he was a terrorist and through some photo shopping, looked like he was holding the decapitated head of the white guy, would people think it was funny? Probably only the friends of the Muslim who knew he was totally not really like that. Others would probably be outraged.

What if a couple of gay atheists posted a Christmas photo of one of them dressed like Jesus fondling and kissing the other gay guy with the quote "Love your neighbor"? Would some find that offensive and just not funny? Sure.

Everyone has the right to their opinion. If you're gonna post something for everyone to see, be prepared for not everyone to like it. But, yeah, death threats are too much.

It's just a joke. Girls vs boys, men vs women... That's as old as the dawn of man. The general idea of men used to be sitting in their recliner with a fat belly and a can of beer, and the woman was always nagging him.

It seems like people have forgotten about the battle of the sexes.

Me saying that something you said was offensive is not a violation of your free speech, me commenting on that photographers post of that image that it is offensive and no one should hire that person is not a violation of free speech, the OP saying that he/she is offended by people giving negative feedback on the photo is not a violation of free speech. It is people using their free speech. A free speech violation is being persecuted by law for using any speech.

Yeah but that has nothing to do with political correctness.

Generally..that is what photographers do..they post their work...it's still none of your business because YOU weren't there..you have no idea the context of the pic. What if the family came out and said one of the little girls came up with the idea. I have a 10 y/o and honestly, I could def see her coming up with something like that..because she says that me and my other daughter 7 y/o talk to much and drive dad crazy...bottom line go be offended in your little corner. Not your family...not your pic...not your business.

That's what social networks are all about though. To post your thoughts and feelings about stuff. I've seen people posting their opinions about gun rights too, and responding negatively to people who post comical memes about "gun nuts".

Shouting your opinions goes both ways. You just don't have a problem with it when it agrees with your opinion.

Stop using Twitter and Facebook. Problem solved.

When you say that, are you referring to those that are offended by the picture, or the one that took the picture?

You only think it's political correctness when it comes from the left.

A Muslim woman who said that Muslims and Christians worship the same God lost her job... PC from the RIGHT.

Maybe the father could have been standing over his wife and daughters' dead bodies with a smoking gun in his hand (all fake of course), holding a sign saying "Peace on Earth". Would that have been funny? It's a joke - battle of the sexes.

Everyone has a line - for different people that line is in different places. For some, being bound and gagged goes across their line.

Why couldn't the father and son been wearing headphones to block out the girl's yakking? Not as funny as being bound and gagged?

The more people understand its damage on society, the more they loathe progressive ideals and move to the right.

PC isn't owned by the progressives. The right gets just as offended as the left and tries to control people's speech

Like what, calling us terrorists? The right defends themselves when they get attacked for being "politically incorrect." There is a very big difference between defend and offend.

The right doesn't try to control anybody's speech. You say what you want, and I'll say what I want. Just don't get pissed off when I say it and try to make me apologize. We don't force religion although the left will swear we do. We don't force our views although the left will swear we do. Like I said yesterday, the left will do one thing and turn right around, point, and blame the right for doing it. So please, don't try to lie to my face and say the right tried to control speech.

I don't even 'get' the message of the picture! LOL!

I don't really care what it is, either. If it's what someone wanted to say, then she's free to say it! And if she puts it out there, people are free to respond.

The funniest thing about all this is that people do so much complaining about
the "PC Culture", that I'm beginning to think it's just not PC to be PC! LOL!

It's saying the girls are naggers, and we all know that most women like to nag, my fiance included. She'll nag the horns off a billy goat. Anyone offended, including the picture taker that got offended by the negativity, needs to grow some thicker skin.

I have had enough of this PC culture!

Then don't participate. EASY!

And I've had enough of people whining about this so-called "PC culture".

And yet, here you are, participating. Not just singling you out, there have been quite a few with the same ironic message.

But don't mind me, I come here JUST for the irony.

I'm talking to the OP. Stop using Facebook or Twitter. That way he won't see all the PC crap he doesn't like and won't have to worry about outraging about it. That is unless he LIKES being outraged about silly things.

Silencing the woman with duct tape and comparing that to standing over her and the kid in a fake scene of killing them is one of the longest stretches I've ever seen, and quite disgusting to be honest. Who would even want to portray that scene? You're not understanding that he's just temporarily silencing them. There used to be a commercial (recently) with Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head driving down the road and Mrs. PH wouldn't shut up so Mr. PH pulled her mouth off and threw it out of the window. Same concept. Wearing headphones wouldn't send the same comical message.

Ok, that's what I figured. Never mind all of those that scroll down, find the picture, and feel offended by its message. 10 years ago, it would have been weirdo maniacal feminazis like Cindy Sheehan and Whoopi Goldberg that got offended by that picture. Now it's lefties in general it seems. Can't even block potential terrorists from the country now without being called Hitler.

Well you are responsible for your own level outrage, not other people. If you don't want to be outraged by those things, don't look at them. It's pretty simple really. I don't use Facebook or Twitter because I feel like memes and short sound bytes are a quick way to misunderstand a very complicated topic so I try not to expose my self to tons of that #. I believe conservatives call that personal responsibility or something...

No, you do what you want. I won't be offended. I'll just think you're either a nut case or you have a strange sense of humor and continue to scroll.
