Still only a gen 4.5 airframe if you paint it with RAM,throw some exotic avionics in it and maybe reshape some bits but hardpoints are still external and radar hot points.

Isn't it odd one would think the strictly religious would be buying things for peace, not weapons for the destruction of others.

Makes one realise how little faith and trust the religious truly have in the God they worship.

Yep, God's no good unless you have an AK47.

Trusting God is like dialling 999 (911) and there being no answer.

I'm no even certain that the F-22 would have a better survivability against S-300 or S-400 systems, so the F-35 ...
The F-15 (even SE) is a target of choice for theses as well.

If you're getting free planes might as well shoot for the moon.

Iv'e got to hand it to you Iranians, you don't half have the ability to create some interesting tech from your military industrial complex when the West has had your country pinned down by sanctions and encircled by military bases for decades. This has probably saved you from new colonialism that has seen much of the Islamic world taken over by outside puppeteer interests.

There's no certainty that Israel is getting anything but the F-35 right now. And this article is typical stealth bashing by people that don't get it.

I would imagine it's their enemies they don't trust.

Surely f 15s are capable of handling Israelis enemies. The Palestinians don't even have an airforce and Iran have nothing that can compete with well trained pilots in f15s

Hopefully things stabilize and we won't have to see.
Do you want nukes in your country?
THAT would make you part of a MAD doctrine ,AKA if you use them or "lose" one and a terrorist uses it AND it reads from Iran ,bye, bye Iran.
Not something we need in life.

Even the best maintained F-15 is getting long in the tooth and will start running into structural problems soon.

They want a supplemental aid package that includes more F-35s, new tankers, bombs, V-22s, and F-15SEs, but nothing is firm yet. It's a huge package, so whether they get it is another story.

I agree, but when you consider what their enemies have, they are still way ahead of the opposition, but I agree they are a bit long in the tooth and if you can afford f35s and f22s why not treat yourself to the best

Pakistan has improved their aircraft a lot. They've added the JF-17, and Block 52 F-16s, which are the equivalent of the US aircraft.

ah, ok. Didn't know that. Maybe it fits on this "demand":
Israel wants up to $5 billion in annual military aid

Israel wants $5 billion per year in military aid for 10 years, for a total of $50 billion, the congressional aides said.

it's all good, keep it coming...

Yeah, in return for us signing a treaty with Iran, they want more aid. They've also pretty much demanded that we sign a deal with them making them the exclusive operator of the F-35. They ultimately want as many as 70 F-35s. A deal to sell V-22s to Israel has already been signed, but they want more.
