Agreed. I'm convinced that many who run do this actually. It's a great way to make a few million for a few speeches over a couple of months. I think Trumps taking it a step further though, rather than just looking to sell his support to someone, he's trying to blackmail the entire RNC... pay up or he'll siphon votes as an independent.

That is it in a nutshell...and the reason for his loud and repeated threat that he will run as an independent if the GOP is "not nice to him".

Trump doesn't know "nice"...he knows money and the words are interchangeable to him.

This is a shake-down.

I am having doubts that Hillary will get the Democratic nomination, however I still have little doubt that Jeb will get the GOP's nomination. Too much big and old money being thrown at him.

I hope I am wrong. I think most of us knew the GOP would select Mitt in 2012, despite the early polling in 2011.
