Our favorite thing to do for the 4th is have a family picnic at the park at the local sewage treatment plant. They got benches and bar-b-que pits just opposite the aireation pond where you can watch the wheels go round. After shooting off some fire works, I go to the far end of the plant grounds and set fire to some tires I sprinkle with diesel to get them to burn good. That's always a hit with the kiddos because they like to watch bright flashing lights of the approaching fire trucks and emergency vehicles.

Its a real hoot.

ROTFL!!!! I was thinking, anyplace where people own and carry guns regularly, but bacon works, too!! Small-town in a state that respects the 2'nd, I am not overly concerned.
