I still think I had a bloody good reason for stareting this thread.

I'm pretty sure it was a doozy as well.

You did have a good reason and we all were suitibly impressed.

Many talked about it over lunch.

I had a sandwich.

What was in the sandwich? my thread is lost but I am interested?

Cucumber. And it had those sprouts in it as well.

Crusts off and what angle was it cut?

These things make a difference you know?

The crust was on, I'm a savage, I know.

And it was cut at a diagonal.

I'm glad you clarified that, although the answer would have been yes, regardless.

It created some minor drama.

Diagonally.

And to add to the suspense, I had a small container of a salad that contained peas, onions and some sort of dressing. I thought there might have been a hint of bacon within the salad, but others disagreed.

We spent several minutes arguing over whether there was or was not a hint of bacon in the pea salad.

At one point, someone at the table actually raised an eyebrow.

Pulses were racing at that point.

It seems it was intense.

Enough said. I am sorry I made you recount it.

Anyways why was I so irate? There was a reason I think.

If you are truly English, go make a cup of tea, drink it from a china cup (science says it tastes better, I agree) and you should recall your rant, henceforth.

You were the only one who didn't taste the bacon. Being as you love bacon, you became incensed that you couldn't taste it.

At one point, you even shifted in your seat and opened your mouth as if to say something else.

This is the kind of logic I cannot deny.

I respectfully redraw from this conversation as you logic is flawless.

I still can't remember what we were talking about though.

Good day to all.

Recounting all of this has drained me.

I am exhausted.

Possibly suffering from PTSD now. (Pea Tasty Salad Discussion)

I must retire for a moment to gather myself.

Crickey...

I am utterly gobsmacked, deeply shocked and astounded by the amount of red mist, rage and hate which I have read in this thread!

Such violence... I just don't get it?

I can only assume that the OP and other people on this thread are on some of the hard stuff like PG Tips or Tetleys... Erm, not sure if I am allowed to say this here because of the T and Cs!

Kindest respects

The expression is up the dancers.

No one seems to know where the expression comes from but it seems a reasonable guess that it refers to dancing bears to rhyme with stairs.

Well this has been fun...I'm going to go ahead and pretend I never opened this thread

Truly my only experience with cockney has been the movie Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells so I am a wee bit out of my league

I had a sandwich too, microwaved proper streaky bacon, (not that crappy Subway stuff) and something else. Absolutely gorgeous.
