Have you EVER seen a bomb explode all blue?

It looks purposely changed in a player like GOM to me and then uploaded. I am almost positive here. (If its even real at all.....) Not sure there though.

Like me.. a jack of all trades.. question everything you ever did... the camera changes all perspectives...

I believe the camera was not "white balanced" as the colors are off before the explosion. The stone around him is off color and just not right so I believe he failed to properly or not white balance the camera at all.

Guys I'm surprised by all the comments...this is obviously edited footage. Before the bomb happens no one is noticing the odd color the sky and the ground. This effect is not hard to create. In fact, about ten years ago my PC had a similar video effect to add/overlay in videos. Trust me this is not real and only video editing. have a great day everyone.

A little bit of Photoshoppery on a screenshot and it looks like the Hue setting was inverted somehow.

Seems a little more normal when adjusted.

It is an optical illusion ...
When light becomes too intense for our senses ... we see the opposite colour... this applies to lenses on cameras also

So I am guessing the colour was orangey

Try looking at something very bright ... then close your eyes and cover them with your hands ... and note the colour of the after image

Or you could spend two seconds and search for other videos from different viewpoints of that same explosion that show no blue cloud.

Messing with the hue in whatever software the video was edited in. You can tell by the colour of the sky and rock even.

I completely agree. Was not a very satisfying post at all.

It's a camera /video filter. I realized it first time I saw it. Look at the soil and the sky. Come on now.

Coming from a film / colorgrading background, the white balance is way off before the bomb hits. Almost looks like they added a gradient map or something like that. I don't buy it.

like a couple of posters have noticed : look at the sky , the background building , the ground in front . Very obvious was either edited or had a filter. First , if I saw a sky that red , I would be very concerned . The explosion would of second concern at that point

It looks like the White Balance is off some what.

As for the cameraman. I'm pretty sure the colour he was thinking was....Brown!

This is what I was waiting for. Yes this edit looks like what's happening. At the same time though the original footage isn't that crazy off other than the explosion. The sky would be really orange with dust and bombing. I'm torn but I believe ur solution is right.
