After picking my jaw up off the floor, i racked my brain for quite a while. I still dont know how this was done.
Unless Simon Cowell is in on it, which he isn't.

So i thought where better to bring this hoping for an explanation then right here on ATS.

This clip is from the 'britains got talent' television program

So, anybody here in the magic circle and willing to divulge how this was done?

Saw this and it blew my mind.. can normally work out how they are done but am bamboozled with this one.. Especially as their is no way camera tricks or stooges can be used.

The gist is that he only has to slip the bottom card on when he picks up the deck.

My dad is a side magician and I am a side magicians assistant. I've been helping with magic/illusions for over 15 years now!! I know a lot of tricks. But I will say that one was really good and I don't know how he did it. There's tricks that still stump me but that's the whole beauty of it

My son who is now 10 is learning card tricks and he stumps me! It's great fun

Thanks for sharing this

Telepathy, he made Simon say 7 of Hearts.
Great trick and the stick man magician was pretty smooth too!

I haven't practiced the craft in years, and when I did, I loved close up! Dupuytren's contracture, has prevented me from enjoying my hobby.

I am blown away!

I would hope that he gets to take the place of the likes of Chris Angel and be a proper representative of the craft in the future though!

Thanks for sharing OP!

The guy is a fabulous entertainer and brilliant. Look forward to watching him entertain us for many years. Great different thread.

Only a guess here but here's what I think he did:

He never showed the bottom of the cards so we only assume they were playing cards on the other side. However, on the other side were the final drawing of the stick man but with a different card on each one. So he only has to count the cards as he's handling them and then flip the corresponding one to the bottom of the deck.

Doing something like that right in front of hundreds of people is simply amazing. Makes you wonder how many things people do in front of us that we never actually "see".

How can one be certain that he isn't in on it?

Some of the most convincing tricks are the ones that use a plant.

I watched the video again to see, and you can see that at least half of the deck have the playing card faces on them.

The sad part is that it IS a camera trick. He made everyone, even the people in front of him look at a recording.
The difficult part was for someone to double-click on '7_hearts.mpg'

Can he make Simon Cowpile disappear? That would be my favorite trick.

Uh, because Simon's a judge perhaps? Kind of hard to impress someone when you tell them how it's done.

Watch it closely when he picks up the deck, he clearly does not have any card in either hand

But the cards in his hand end on the seven of hearts.
I understand what you're saying, but thats not it
