Pyongyang is capable of launching an ICBM with a nuclear warhead from a hard-to-track mobile launcher at the US West Coast, the US aerospace defense commander has said. The capability is disputed by a study from leading North Korea-watchers, however.

“We’re very concerned about the mobile nature of the KN-08. We lose our ability to get the indication that something might occur and of course the unpredictable nature of the regime that’s there,” Gortney said, adding that NORAD is nevertheless “confident we’ll be able to knock it down,” should it ever be launched at the US.

Something to keep an eye on.

This was released as NORAD goes back underground.

Yes, military minds are always concerned with military problems they need bigger hammers (and budgets) for.

Give Kim Jong Un a lollipop and have him go take a nap. He's cranky and he needs one.

My worry is when, not if, but WHEN North Korea collaspes they will try and take as many down with them as they can.

Which I think why everyone gives them aid as no one wants the chaos a NK collaspe will cause.

US doesn't treat N korea fair. In fact they occupy half of it militarily.

Divide and conquer…

I think South Korea are quite happy not being part of North Korea.

And its hard to treat a country fairly that is a military dictatorship that has concentration camps that would make Hitler jealous

They must have back engineered a UFO or started channeling
because their technology a year ago had missles dropping into
the ocean 30 miles off the NKorean coast.

Well, nice posting on ATS. I live near VAFB so I'm a gonner. When any part of the government uses the "confident" card, that's code for "get right with your maker".

I've had a good life...

I reckon when, not if, the farcical NK leadership collapses, the Coup Generals will be all too eager to hand over the nukes to the US via SK as a bargaining chip in return for recognition and aid.

It's only a matter of time imo.

So even though their major ballistic rocket tests have been embarrasing failures most of the time,we are supposed to believe that their much smaller, more advanced technolgy in these mobile missile units work well enough to hit the US?

Sorry not buying it.

That's because the Japanese were using voodoo magic and causing them to fall.

Because the world is fair and N Korea is THE mascot for fairness?

Before or after US invaded and occupied the "Peninsula"?

Its easy to destroy a nations sovereignty, divide its people an soil (for half a century) and then say look how "repressed" they are.

I was not aware South Korea was annexed by the USA?

Last I checked it has its own sovereign independent government.
