The only way you get relating end times prophecies between Islam and Christianity is if you flip it upside down and read it backwards.

The end times predicted by Islam are what some Christians refer to as the antichrist and false prophet.

Other than that it tallies perfectly........

Relax, it just means ISIS will nuke the Vatican, everyone else will be fine.

I'm sure people believed Hitler was the antichrist when he was exterminating millions of Jews during WWII, it was a worldwide conflict just as the bible predicted as well. It turned out to just be another war that had an end and life continued. ISIS is no different.

The Apocalypse is the proverbial carrot on a stick, people look forward to it but it will never come, at least not in the Christian sense. Until it does happen (which it won't) people will continue to be complacent about world conflict because they see it as the end and unavoidable anyways. Those in power laugh all the way to the bank every time, becoming rich off of the wars they clothe in vague prophecy.

When looking at the entire phrase........ doom pornography would mean dying while having sex or something terrible while having sex so tell me who started this phrase? Did you?

I have often seen this and only here at ATS and it makes no sense whatsoever. I do not see how your terminology can be used when discussing the Pope or any religious threads.... actually when I see someone use this term I immediately think immature and juvenile delinquent.

I have my doubts concerning Tom Horn, on the other hand the co author of the book, Cris D. Putnam is an interesting writer and scholar. I find Tom Horn to be nothing more than a salesman who loves tooting his horn and taking lead on work that others have done.

For those who do not know Cris D. Putman:

I believe Cris Putnam is the real author of the book with Tom Horn's sales tactic - "Creflo Dollar sales background" - nothing more than snakeoil salesmen. Tom Horn's ten minute of fame is drying up. I just loved how he explained his "new" revelation in Pope Benedict's resignation. It sounded like a Jehovah Witness explaining one of their false prophecies.

It's called Doom Porn because some people get off on it like others do on porn porn (often translated as 'hubba hubba'). Doom Porn brings those people to an excited state of "We're all gonna die, oh boy!" and gets them all giddy with excitement and the wringing of the hands.
