It's called Doom Porn because some people get off on it like others do on porn porn (often translated as 'hubba hubba'). Doom Porn brings those people to an excited state of "We're all gonna die, oh boy!" and gets them all giddy with excitement and the wringing of the hands. Plausible view you got there. Everyone agrees that some ISIS members could be mixed with all those refugees arriving to Italy, in the last year. Unfortunately, and lots of people are dying in the process, its very difficult to separate the wolf from the sheep.
Italian and Vatican authorities should be very active and ware of this possibility.

I'm not sure why having written a book based on an old supposed prediction makes the person an expert, but the extracts in the OP miss out the point that Pope Francis was suggesting Pope Benedict had created a precedent. He also said he may have a brief tenure but then again he may not but some future pope (guess that messes up the prediction, huh) may.

I realised years go there ws nothing one could do to help in this Century or even the last,thousnds have tried to share this truth,through media and movies and songs in this era and via stories and printed works in earlier eras. Time is what it is,we find ourselves where we are today,the messages havent been sent the same way now for ten years or more,but tody literlly thousands of very very credible people are now telling their individual truths and cumulatively it is showing hopefully 10% of Humanity the truth so they may try to prepare for their toss of the dice because everything from here on in is a gamble where everyone elite or not shares the same odds,wether they think so or not.There are no true safe places here on Earth,none,not Bunkers ,nowhere is surely safe.We will be "blended" but some will pop up here and there,we always seem to do so.But I wouldnt count on the technologys being re-discovered for 500 years or so,because there will likely be a War if surviving militaries exist post event,kicking us so far back it will possibly put us back in as bad a spot as we are now.The key for us is to have NUMBERS WHO PRESERVE TECHNOLOGY survive and this takes about 3000 years of co-opertive efforts to accomplish effectively for any specific 3657yr cycle of Humanity,it looks like we bungled this go-round at this point.There is no way this cycle will prosper,we didnt even really get it together until 2-300 years ago technologiclly. The kicker is a lot of tech we still dont know about WAS HERE BUT SUPPRESSED since the last cycle,it simply had to be picked up and understood before it was eaten up by nature.

There is a guy somewhere who deciphered a crop circle telling people to build simple j-shaped underground shelters which create a waterproof vacume ,this may offer some chance of surviving the Floods which wipe everything out.I m on it myself,but to each their own,people dont accept the conspiracy stuff mainstrem yet,people still think you are nuts if you even mention what you know,so it is what it is,wasting time telling people just erodes your credibility and slows down your own preperations,there is no time left to waste,you are either in it to win it or you are in it to ride things out so to speak.You wont even really convince your own family....if you "get it" you got it...if you dont you simply wont in time...so those who are sure are preparing for their families who CANNOT understand in time,but who will be ready to believe sooner than they think, but to late to get ready themselves.Those trying to row the boat dont have time to rock it at this point,TPTB know this methinks,unless Elvis himself went viral telling the truth they dont care who knows anymore ...the masses cannot be rallied now.From here on in only straggelers will learn the truth and TPTB very well know to leave them and the Preppers alone becuse NO ONE KNOWS what will go down post-event,we really do NEED EVERYONE at this point in time to improve humanitys odds of survival.After all there are no guarantees.

ISIS was ISIL which literally was an acronym for Islamic State in Levante - how does that literally mean harbringers of the Apocalypse?

I saw a youtube vid the other day where a member of the anti-ISIL coalition forces had a brave ISIL warrior crying via his walkie talkie what a badass he and his mates were and who they would duff up next. I wouldn't lay any bets on it if I was you.

I do enjoy conspiracy theories and occult stories, but I can't get wrapped around the myth that religion is. People have been predicting doom since there were people.

I always get a chuckle about Bible thumpers who go on an on about predicting the end times and "this is the end times" when their bible clearly states in the book of Matthew: However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

Right, he has made comments like this before. He also has made statements on the precedent set by Benedict to take leave of his position prior to death. The weight of being Pope doesn't seem to be something he enjoys.

I do however think there is something to the last Pope scenario.

The church is the body of believers... so they're all responsible for such doom prophecies...

So that was a general statement... Christianity as a whole has been predicting the end since the beginning

Presumably the ISIS crowd sees Rome as the equivalent of the capital city of Christianity.

I wasn't aware that the Catholic Church was in the habit of setting doom predictions. Now, there have been random pastors who think they can set dates from time to time, but they are hardly "the Church" as a whole body.

In fact it is, although much more hiden for the hi class religious. For example Fatima prophecies reached every corner of the world by now. Not so many people know however what (St pope John Paul II said in Fulda. If they knew they might have organized protest for why Vatican keeps something secrets if it should be revealed in 1960 according to Our Lady. Regarding Francis, he has a heavy heritage. He should choose between helping the people and helping the bureaucracy to get with a clearer image. The second is impossible task IMO. He should choose the people and start telling them the truth. Much more, if tomorrow we have events unexplained with today's traditions. Yes I am talking of ET. A new reread of the Gospel and Bible is needed. Will Francis have the strength to do what Benedict tried and stopped, and John Paul didn't have the health to even start? All the popes since Pius XII know about ET, according to recently published docs such as the interview of Srg Bob Dean on Camelot. Not only know, but personally sending envoys to those meetings with ET and president Eisenhower. Today that may seem less important than whether to give communion to divorced and remarried couples. But tomorrow the ET question will concern each and every of us, not only the minorities in the church. I don't understand how prepared the bishops are, I guess they are secretly prepared and will do their best. But what if they don't? What if ET release a true movie of the life of Jesus Christ in 2h 10 series that says it almost all important episodes missed in the Gospels? Wouldn;t be the ideological end of religion as institution? Perhaps those in the know, as pope Francis, won't like to be the end, they want to continue. I have the feeling pope Francis is a good man who wants this and other new fresh air to enter in. Wil he be successful though?
