This doom porn is all hot and bothersome (or would be if Hell was real) but I think the Christians are choosing to ignore some key passages in relation to its timing.

Maybe the day or hour are not known, but the Bible does give a more general time frame. Those living in the time of Jesus were told they would live to see the second coming.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away. Matthew 24:29-35

In case there is any doubt Jesus was referring to people living during his lifetime, and not those in the far off future, take a look at this verse:

“Assuredly, I say to you, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” Matthew 16:28

Variations of the above verse are also in Mark 9:1 and Luke 9:27.

There is also this verse which implies the second coming should have already occurred:

When they persecute you in this city, flee to another. For assuredly, I say to you, you will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes. Matthew 10:23

John believed the end was nigh and that the anti-christ prophesied about was already around:

...and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 1 John 4:3

There's always doom and the end is almost here. I've heard this for half my life. We're still here! I've come to grips with my mortality. I know for a fact the end isn't that far off for me personally. I'll enjoy what little time I have without living in fear of what could or should of happened.

Haha, I am not going debate any further about the fictional characters created by Shepherds over two millennium ago. Revelations says that people will not be able to buy or sell without the mark of the beast, and this mark will be on the forehead (head) and the right hand (dominant hand). Credit Card companies, to prevent fraud, are in the process of mandating an EMV chip in credit cards to further authenticate transactions. This chip in the credit card is not the mark of the beast, but rather, this technology is soon (already is; iWallet, ISIS, any other eWallet on your cell phone) to be integrated into our cell phones. I would bet the end times will come to fruition soon after paying with your cell phone becomes the common way to purchase/sell.

Why are cell phones the anti-christ? Obviously there are a large amounts of benefits, of which I myself take advantage of, such as infinite access to knowledge and the globe. But, when the time comes for any sort of spiritual uplifting, such as the day of judgement, the cell phone will be the ultimate distraction (look around, people are enslaved to their phones). I look at it this way, we have a choice if we want to integrate with the heavenly 4th dimension, or drop to the 2nd dimension. The 2nd dimension is a screen (your phone), the 4th dimension would be a realm where you become time fabric itself, otherwise known as the light.

There is a trinity that effects our everyday lives and that is tied to the matrix. That father is the one viewing every move you make because he desires to collect your dna that will be turned into a ransom when he leaves this place. The mother is mother nature and seeks to divide mankind and get us to destroy ourselves because of our treatment of the planet. The son is the embodiement of the system and is the creator of the system.

Faith and prayer is key to defeating the reepers and the descructive desires that have been placed in our hearts by the father to destroy the mother and our home. Defeating this system control is our only option to have a future here. Otherwise you die and get recycled back into the system to relive this again.

You, and I say this from a place of compassion, need some serious professional help. You have some pretty significant delusions, the stuff you are saying isn't just a bad conspiracy theory, it points to undiagnosed (assumption) mental illness in my opinion. I'm not a doctor, most in my family are though, but I've worked in a proffesion that seeks to find better ways to go about treating mental illness (better pharmaceuticals, not better methods per se). Consider it, maybe I'm the one with delusions and you are the only can TRULY see, but I sincerely doubt that. Then start talking about cell phones which are usually in your pocket/attached to your belt and can be handled with either hand. Also, not everyone is right handed! Not to mention, no one sticks their cell phone to their forehead either. So you are clearly wrong here, but what's funny is that you proved YOURSELF wrong.

Suspend your disbelief momentarily, and consider it. What do you expect, biblical writers to come out and say "beware of what you will one day call the cell phone". No, it is divine interpretation. When your phone is in your pocket you are not using it, you use it when it is in your dominant hand (etymology of the 'right' hand). In terms of the "forehead", if you look at how this is used throughout the bible it is meant as an idiom to say on your thoughts, or in reference to the head:

"and it hath been on the forehead of Aaron, and Aaron hath borne the iniquity of the holy things which the sons of Israel do hallow, even all their holy gifts; and it hath been on his forehead continually for a pleasing thing for them before Jehovah."
(Exodus 28:38)

Unless, this literally means that Jehovah was pasted on his forehead? *sarcasm*

WAKE UP!!!!!!!! The mark of the beast on the forehead means that we will have the mark of the beast, our cell phone, on our minds. Think about how much people are enthralled, completely consumed by their phone. It also is literally used by putting it to your head.

Just another loose interpretation of words that clearly say something else under the guise that they didn't know what they were describing at the time. You also aren't the first to suggest that cell phones are the mark of the beast.

Man, at least RFID chips are implanted in your body. Your mark of the beast is an EXTREMELY loose interpretation of scripture. When you first brought up that reference to a mark in your right hand and forehead, I thought maybe you had something that would really encompass those two parts of the body. Guess I was wrong.

a mark, by definition, is something that is external to the skin, not something inside. At least consider it a possibility, the cell phone is the most fitting candidate so far in history. If it gets to a point where transactions must be made via your cell phone, be ready.

But it still doesn't fit the requirements put forth in the bible. You don't put it on your forehead and not everyone is right hand dominate so some use it with their left hand. Heck, some use it in their left hand when they have something else in their right.

The mark of the beast is real in any case. Every new piece of identifying material is ALWAYS labeled as the mark of the beast using your exact same argument, and everyone has been wrong. Social Security numbers, driver's licenses, credit cards, cell phones, upcoming rfid technology (both inside the body and outside), etc. The real mark of the beast was money printed with Nero's face on it since the book of revelation is just a hate speech against the Roman Empire. There is no truth contained within that book.
