Police were called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. after receiving calls for a shooting in Macy’s.
Multiple police departments are on scene, including Monroeville Police, Allegheny County Police, Port Authority Police and even Munhall Police, in addition to even more departments.
Police say three people were shot.

This is the Dawn of the Dead mall correct?
Witnesses said shots were fired inside the mall near the Macy’s, leading to a chaotic scene as people ran.
Pittsburgh-area native and former NFL quarterback Terrelle Pryor was at the mall.
Didn't see who was shooting, saw two people drop though! I was looking but 10 more shots went off and was getting closer to me. Then I ran

Monroeville Mall has since been locked down.
Back in December, a massive brawl broke out at the mall as about 1,000 children and teens were inside.

And people wonder why malls like this went out of fashion in so many places. It got to where no one felt safe to go there. Now there are places where the outdoor shopping districts are starting to suffer the same fate. I wonder how quickly they will be abandoned too?
No one is shooting here.
Over 100 kids and fights.
And here you are - 3 shot.
So how long will it be until no one wants to shop at the Plaza, one of the oldest open air shopping centers in the country?
Coles said officials are following leads and have identified the suspect(s) responsible for the shooting, though no arrests have been made.

I live in Kennedy Township. Far and away from that mall. You'd be surprised just how much Monroeville Mall has changed.
In fact it would be unfair to say that. Ross Park Mall is getting there with kids causing issues.
Going to the malls make me nervous. Even The Mall at Robinson. If I have to go. I go early and get out. I plan the night before.
No thanks. I shop online.
It seems that parents just drop their kids off as if it's a daycare anymore.
And further more. Why is there not an age limit to these shopping establishments?
Not that being 18 will discourage gang related issues. But at least keep some 14 y/o thug from having a hormonal induced shooting !
After a 17-year-old shot three people at the Monroeville Mall, CBL and Associates, the mall owner, said it will card and eject unaccompanied minors from the mall on Fridays and Saturdays after 6 p.m. beginning on Feb. 27.
“They’ve instituted this in about 25 of their malls, and it’s a very successful policy,” noted Monroeville mayor Gregory Erosenko who supports this Youth Escort Policy. “We’re certainly going to put our arms around it.”
Implementing this will require security guards to check anyone who looks under 18.
The carding may occur at mall entrances or within the mall — with minors required to have a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle, or guardian with them.
Older siblings don’t count, and it’s one adult for every three children.

Of course this will be spun into a Anti Gun thing, even though, death by fire arm in the U.S. will effect a whopping fraction of one percent of the total population.
Scary huh?
