I was only pointing out that US isn`t able to win from Russia if it wants to attack Russia its mainland as some ill informed Americans tend to think.

Stop viewing Russia as a nation blessed by God himself, Russia can be beaten.

Stop viewing US as a nation blessed by God himself and start listening to military specialist before responding.

It doesn`t matter which one you talk to, as long is he/she good, they will tell it goes very soon nuclear and be a bloodbath for sure. And because an interview/analysis is immediately done after that, they simply try talk about conventional scenarios too.

Same goes for US defences, it can`t hold off the new Russian medium and long range missiles.

S-400 is indeed for medium range missiles and not for long range. With "soon" I meant 2020 is the plan.

Aegis BMD works against anything short of an ICBM. Both sides have effective systems against IRBMs.

And the newest counter missiles are capable of correcting and making radical maneuvers. Maneuverable missiles have been around on ICBMs for awhile, so there has never been any reason an IRBM couldn't.

I know the Russian people are fed crap by Spewtin and the state propaganda machine.
They are told how evil the the west is..... bla bla bla

However do they have unrestricted access to Google?

If they do then it's only a matter of time until Putin is in a world

Even the most patriotic Russian will be able to join the dots..
Putin Invade Crimea.. annexes .. moves into Ukraine.. The West respond
with sanctions.. the Russian economy tanks.. and Putler blames the West....

I am not into the field of air warfare so do not know about the potency of the current Aegis system. However, read somewhere that coming out around 2020, the Aegis 5.0 will be very advanced and might block out all the ICBM or IRBMs flying in its direction.

That should be a game changer for global geopolitics the same way Stealth planes were.

One thing I would like to add is the dummy warhead feature in the Russian ICBMs. These can create a lot of confusion in the defensive missiles of the Aegis as once released these are not one to one game.

Talking of sensors, may be they have the ability to find dummy vrs real warheads, but adding another variables etc. can make this game of missiles really interesting.

Example: just like anti anti-tank missile system like Trophy of Israel which kills the incoming RPGs, similar system can be placed on the offensive ICBM like Topol-M.

Aegis does see the Topol and goes for the kill but Topol in return kills off the Aegis missile at a safe distance, using its Trophy like system.

Sad that now space is going to be used as a war fighting theater.

Iron Dome uses a totally different system than the BMD, and it's not all American tech either.

Aegis BMD has been tested in very realistic conditions, including dummy targets being released by the incoming missile.

Once the SM-6 completes testing it will be even more capable.

In that case, Russians better develop the Trophy like defense mechanism for their ICBMs or ability to negate the sensors of the Aegis.

I also read a very candid assessment of Pak-Fa plane which is put forward as the match up against F-22. In that article, it was mentioned one place that unless Russians come up with more advancements in technology, it is possible that Pak-Fa might end up as being the 4.5 generation plane only and not 5th generation like F-22s and F-35s are. In that match up, the best chances for Pak-Fa would be to come close enough to F-22s and then use IRST to take a shot and all the while deflecting the 8-10 incoming missiles from the Raptor. Same as current Su-35 which does not belong to stealth category. Russians better develop a Trophy like system for their planes also.

The only advantage T-50 would have is most probably it would be fighting the defensive battle with higher support from ground SAMs.

Russian tech is falling behind by much. Bring in IRST jammers later on and it will be tough for T-50s against the 5th generation planes.

The T-50 uses super maneuverability and some stealth. It's thought to have an RCS close to the F-22, but not as good.

They also have new air to air missiles that will be a major threat to all non-stealth aircraft, and new jammers that are still being figured out, but may put the AMRAAM at a disadvantage.

They're pretty behind in some areas, but are catching up fast in others. They've always had a slight advantage in missile technology.
