Well, I would hope that any suggestion that this airstrike was launched to get rid of a couple of yards of black cloth, is made with the tongue firmly in the cheek.

And as for the fellow who apparantly stood there and took it, no, he did not. He took the first big detonation, and then the entire surface of the hill got turned into a crapstorm, from which nothing, and I mean not a single damned thing could have walked away. His innards, no matter how well he may have weathered the first detonation, are soup now, if they remained within his body, if there is anything LEFT of his body. The fellow is dead, and thats all there is to say about it.

Also, it has to be said that the shot from the camera is basically one angle. We have no idea if just over the ridge of that hill, there might have been an emplaced field gun, or a network of dugouts, foxholes, or earthworks with machine gun emplacements, or rocket launching gear. Now, I would have thought that the headline would have read a little differently if so, but there again, it might be that the only view the media have even had of that hill since this whole mess began, is on that video, from one single side, meaning we may never know what was actually on the other side of that hill.

We can know even less about it now, since the features of that area are probably VASTLY different now than they were, topographically speaking. In my opinion, it is perfectly possible that there was a genuine target on that hillside, aside of course from the flag of ISIS. I would be very surprised if the US military, even in their particular brand of batcrap craziness, were dumb enough to waste that much money and munitions on a psyop which was all done and dusted in less than a minute.

It does not seem like something even the most trigger happy, detonation fetishist general would think up!

Was a squad leader in Vietnam 70-71. Was sent out to check an area that had a B52 strike the night before. Huge bomb craters everywhere. You could set an entire house in a crater. The jungle was gone. Just dirt and craters. Was mind bogging!

By the sounds of the camera people they were happy? In awe? Not upset at all?

Maybe they Are adapting to us blowing the bejesus out of their flag by planting flags in the boonies?

If they wanted to do it, the US could have been done with these Isis fighters.
The administration doesn't want to do that.

Like Obama said, they want to "Contain Isil."
That's political speak for "We want to give them borders."
Of course he can't openly support them but he's doing a good job of being ineffective.

Ten bucks to a doughnut, in 2 years, ISIL is a recognized state supported by the American left.

Watch the news, it's already being conditioned in. The term "Islamic state" is being used more and more often.
Social conditioning at it's finest.

first the US Army is not flying any bombing missions in the ME.

Only the US Airforce and US Navy are bombing ISIS as the US Army has no fixed wing attack aircraft.

Since the writer of this did not fact check and find these could not have been US Army aircraft you have to wonder if he checked any of the story.

It's...hm, what's the right word, not propaganda. It's a symbolic thing. Ever see the picture of the Red Army raising the hammer and sickle on the Reichstag, over the shattered ruins of Berlin? Or the Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima? Same concept. The war's not over, but striking at the symbols of your enemy is a tradition that goes back thousands of years.

Why don't we just go over there and let it rain bullets on isis. ISIS is form of recruitment is, if you don't join. you die. Where do they get these psychopaths anyways? Backwards learning idiots. Teach children garbage to put in their heads. This is the WORST culture of people to deal with, just LET IT RAIN BULLETS, OBAMA.

THEY SHOULD give the Army the A-10 and AC130 aircraft.
The Airforce wants things HIGH and fast.

The flag is a symbol and so is the act of destroying it.
Symbols are given power by people, alone the symbol
is meaningless. But with enough people, the act of
blowing up a flag can change the world.
