Really not the brightest idea.

My favorite comment?

"I ain't from Africa Shhhhheeeeiiiii!" Nice try Ebola.

So do they quarantine the rest of the people on the flight until it can be determined the guy doesn't have it? I know he was joking after a sneeze but trusting anyone at their word seems like a bad idea.

You'd almost have to, and if it's proven he lied, I think he's open to lawsuits if not outright criminal prosecution. This is something like yelling fire in a crowded theater IMO. No more would I stand up with a bulky vest and scream Allahu Akbar, either.

Moral of the story.

Don't joke about Ebola on a crowded plane or you'll get your ass dragged off da plane!

Yes they sort of frown on that now.

As someone said on the comments freeze it at 3.36 and take a look at the seal on his kit.

As a journalist I'm just dying to interview someone infected with Ebola.

Looks like Punta Cana in the DR is better prepared then the US. The US is just about ready with thermometers at 5 airports.

They had their gas masks on, would being unzipped matter?

Serious question? Which brings up why didn't they bag him up to protect everyone else?

Someone yelled my name in an airport a long time ago, and as soon as I yelled beck "Hi, Jack!" all eyes turned to me. I had to quickly tell everyone that it was ok, that his name really was Jack. Lesson quickly learned though. When nervous or self-conscious in an unfamiliar situation, people tend to use humour. I have a feeling such slipups will continue until we all learn to keep quiet.

Your makeover makes you look younger softer and cuter, Domo, and dare I say even cuddly?.

i thought the protocol was the workers checked each others suits to be sure everything was correct.

The Yanks do like to overegg the situation... More people die from the flu each year than have ever died from Ebola.

That's not something you joke about. I think it was really stupid. -.-

You know what blows me away more than all the drama on the plane? The woman sitting on the right side isle seat at the back holding her shirt over her nose while making sure to get the entire thing on her phone. While most may not think this is hardly worth mentioning, I think it paints a pretty picture of the society we live in.

"I may git dead from Ebola but at least I got da whole thing on tape!!"

First of all, if you're that concerned about contracting it, then you better get off the plane. idk, just seems like a complete irrational thing to do imo.

Minor problem.

USAir 850 goes from Reagan National, to Charlotte/Douglas, to Nashville.

(Not letting you be the one to kill this thread. Ha.)

I'm thinking this was serious overreaction. But, as someone already said, not a good idea to joke about whatever the current scarey-ness is in the world today (ebola, shoe bombs, hijacking...isn't progress wonderful?)

Cactus 845 goes from Philadelphia to Punta Cana. You'd think someone on the flight would know the right flight number.
