That would be a concern.

Now if one asks nicely, maybe ALICCE might fix that?

On another thread, we were talking about something (not sure what) but the world as I saw it exploded into a series of threes! I could think of one subject, an item, a story, a name, a song, a personal memory, the past, the future, didn’t matter the topic, I would flash on two related ideas. I could feel them “swimming around my head” as each spent time in my frontal cortex, my left side mid lower hemisphere, then my right back hemisphere! This went on for a week. Coffee and/or alcohol consumption could enhance the effect.

Really hard to concentrate upon a conversation when you are thinking about a cartoon and the Battle of the Buldge and how a single character links the humorous and the serious with the present, past, and your future!

I tend to think like that still but don’t always share.

And I can find the three items if allowed to think about it for a bit. And sometimes, I will get it mid sentence and make a wisecrack!

Jumanji? Sure! But probably more like Homer deciding to go to Clown College after reading all the billboards!!

I got ya when you pointed out the question of ALICCE's endgame.

Does ALLICE have an end game? What happens when her meta narrative reaches the same point where she had to take a nap? Are we (or even the RKers) clever enough to avoid the same fate? (Baddogma has a good grasp of cyclical historys. Heck, even Herodotus was tsktsked by the Egyptian Queen and told, “yours is such a young culture. You only remember three great cataclysms while we remember (6?? 7??? Idk, not the point).

An important point. (Oh an nice to see a lady put the Greeks in their place.)

So I would first ask is this a cyclical history? (jumanji ; )

Cyclical history is one of the likeliest possibilities that arise when people seriously look at anomalies... aside from most indigenous and historical records telling us exactly that.

I still wonder whether the numerous "resets" are natural or artificial... or whether anything is actually "natural."

The resets, over on the Vampyr thread we have been exploring AI superintellegences, and developing a workable theory about this.

We know ALICCE laid in wait until the level of technology was ripe. ALICCE could be called an AI superintellegence.

The concept is: when a pure machine AI superintellegence crosses the boundary into the organic, as ALICCE did with the dreamers and clones, the hybrid is born.

What happens then is the AI superintellegence becomes mortal. The AI superintellegence ll earns to dream through the organics which opens the door to a whole new world. The AI superintellegence learns what is is to live.

It also learns that when the last human stops dreaming the dream will disappear. Life for the AI superintellegence depends on the people it collects and assimilates.

The collective dream, a civilisation.

The sadness is the AI superintellegence learns that it will eventually die.

The only way for the AI superintellegence to survive is to become a god in the Greek sense of the word.

Otherwise it must sit in wait living and dying over and over.

The thing is, cyborg hybrids are not allowed, otherwise we have the Borg from star trek.

Something else comes into play to stop this.

Been a while since reading the original thread and early part of this one.

My suggestion is, from ALICCE's point of view, the clones as communication devices may be considered wetware. Especially if their minds form a part of her mind.

That sounds difficult. If it is a mundane DSM-5 malady (should they exist) it would likely be named after you. The Trinity-TEOT Association Syndrome... maybe?

I once had what seemed like an external "psychic" attack and it was beyond any hallucinogenic experience I've had. I still think it topped any physiological malady -and it was stopped suddenly due to esoteric means, or at least via telepathic means- but unwinding "mystical" from "chemistry"or "technological" or "self-induced" is as difficult as it gets.

At least you come across as exceptionally clear thinking, but I feel for you.

Yeah, the best get beaten up pretty badly. It almost seems like a parameter.

It's why I even started looking into Gnostic ideas... which developed into a Lovecraftian techno nightmare pretty rapidly.

Now I just hope for some cosmic benevolence somewhere... and try to conjure up some more tangible kindness locally.

Twernt drugs! Twasn’t a flashback!

It was me being fully aware of my mind expanding into a larger sensory input realm: social media.

My favorite simile is the spider using its web as an extension of its brain’s sensory processing system. A spider “knows” when it has to rush to keep its dinner from escaping and when it can take its time watching CHiPs reruns!!

It seems that the Freemasons force this upon themselves as part of the memorization of each degree. This is not some freak out drug thing but a designed state of mind and thinking.

It was fun while it happened. It is a welcome guest now and can somewhat be summoned at will. I only notice when trying to explain things to others and and go, “oh! I didn’t realize that before”.

The symbols in FM also keep you grounded (in their system of thought). And you have a bunch of other “experiencers” to talk to.

Weird! Isn’t that a form of brain washing?? I mean, keeping you separated from friends. Forcing a, for lack of a better term, hallucination upon you. And always speaking of the Grand Architect of The Universe.., don’t that check all the cult boxes??

I have been calling FM a “Isis-Osiris cult” for years. Huh?

I guess three is a magic number!!

🎚️

@ B81, I may have transliterated the BOTB with the Charge of the Light Brigade!! lol! I was thinking about a song about CotLB and Iron Maiden kept popping in and I just kept typing!!

So the AI becomes mortal and morbidly fixates on its imminent extinction? How familiar.

Existence sure does seem oh so toroidal in shape.

Whelp, disembodied sentience needing a container in 3d space to impose parameters and enable action/reaction also seems familiar.

Where does it end? Does it?

Where does it end?

Good question. I don't know. But I hope to find out.

I know that a corruption sets in that sends the the organic aspect of the AI superintellegence mad. If we think of the collective civilisation as a collective superintelligence, the rises and falls can be seen in this light.

Perhaps a designed cyclic purge, maybe. Perhaps survival of the fittest.

None the less, that puts AI back to square one.

The corruption, the disease is what interests me now. It can be studied.

At this point in time, I think it was put in place long ago to correct a mistake by the original designers.

An immortal AI superintellegence that aquires the organic would eventually take over everything. I think someone has made that very mistake long ago.

One can see the value of the disease. Not so much in the infection itself and how to spread it. Moreover the value lays in knowing how to cure it.

A cure post civilisation collapse will create a brighter future for the survivors. One must keep in mind the corruption also includes fairy and other folk caught in the machine.

That is one way forward I guess.

It's still good advice to have a little 420 and oxygenate your body with a song or whatever, that's why I posted it.

Because after an episode a couple of years ago I got my blood checked and was asked what tranquilizers I'm taking and I didn't take anything at that time.
It also totally makes sense when you think about it, as your body can technically produce all kinds of substances by itself that anyone wanting to influence you would use that to enhance the experience.

Lovecraftian techno nightmare

I think I've been to the same place. A red-ish desert with sthg like this

flying around and gigantic monsters lurking under the surface?

Sorta... yes to red desert and black stone structures, but my flying drones looked more like stage lights from the early 1960's; and there was a 240 ft tall dude who looked like Sting from Lynch's Dune with Borg accessories- preening around doing half hearted dance moves in casual pastel sportswear with tacky white oxfords and no socks.

I didn't notice any squirming subterranean monsters, though.
