I just heard on my local news that Obama will be giving a speech on the Iraq situation and the riots in Ferguson.
I will update the thread with the video once it is available but lets get a discussion going on what he is/did say about these matters at hand.

I am not sure what to expect from him myself. I have a very conspiracy biased mindset when it comes to the situation in Iraq and I know too little to make a judgement on Ferguson.
I see both situations as being used as tools for a furthering of "the agenda."

Thanks for providing the link to the feed, I wasn't sure how I was going to watch it with no tv! I hate having to reply on summaries and paraphrases.

I hope I don't end up angry by whatever he says. Being a military family, the Iraq subject is a hot button for me. As far as the Ferguson issue, I'm not sure what to think. Yes, the police are overly militarized, but if it is true that some protestors were being aggressive, were the police supposed to just stand there and be assaulted?

I hope the president doesn't say something ridiculous and stupid for once.

Thanks for the heads-up, will be watching.

I suspect the usual drivel. Not standing by while terrorists take control of Iraq's hard-won 'democracy'. That sort of thing. As for the Ferguson, MO situation, probably just some end-of-statement remark about how we need to get all the facts straight and encourage the citizens to keep the peace while 'they' do so.

Short and sweet. No questions, no questions. Thank you and God bless.

...hopefully there will be more substance than that - but I highly doubt it.

Obama:

"Um...errm...rioting is bad and erm...America needs to uh...step up and come together".

That's probably all he'll say, one or two sentences max about how Americans need to stand together and peacefully wait for the justice system to take it's course.

Just my prediction.

seems it is about to start, seems like a bad angle.

Well, nothing was really.
