I would like to know about your one song that breaks your heart when listening and thinking about the complete and utter mess the World is in today. Even better if you imagine a friend that seems to be completely unaware of the disaster all around , still asleep, what song would you want him or her listen to as you he/she watches images of all of the suffering around the world. I found it hard to choose but i have eventually gone for this one.

Great topic, dives into ones own perspective. There are a few pieces of music that I find to be tentative to the inequities of the world.

John Williams - The immolation Scene
Linken Park - Hands Held High
Goldfinger - Open Your Eyes

But above all; Russel Brand - We Gotta Do Something

For me it has to be Salt Water by Julian Lennon.. bit of an 'oldy' but think it still counts.

Some of these songs wanna make you sit a Rothschild or a Rockefeller down just like the scene in A Clockwork Orange where the guy gets strapped to the chair and their eyes pealed back watching the news from around the Globe!

This song breaks my heart every time, but is most especially poignant when considering the events of our current day.

LYRICS
Little child dry your crying eyes
How can I explain the fear you feel inside
Cause you were born into this evil world

Where man is killing man and no one knows just why
What have we become just look what we have done
All that we destroyed you must build again

CHORUS
When the children cry let them know we tried
Cause when the children sing then the new world begins...

The guitar solo is stunning too, you can almost feel the guitar gently weeping.

This song brings me to tears anytime I've watched the video...

It was sung by Declan Galbraith about 6 or 7 years ago, who was at the time a 10 year old boy from Scotland:

"Tell Me Why"
