Palestine in 1896, everybody lived in peace until... the Zionists came in, the truth is everywhere for those who want to see

when an Israeli private company planned a construction over a grave yard, Jewish rabbis tired to peacefully protest against it, see how Israeli security forces treat Jews, this is the so called "only democracy in the ME", the narration is in Arabic, just see the pictures, the 83 rabbi was beaten brutally, they stepped on his face, the rabbi says: "what shall i say... this is Nazism, the word upsets you?! you Nazis..."

Salon of all sites had a great article talking about this recently.

The Western media and Israel try to arbitrarily pick a moment in time to illustrate who started the conflict, by showing the 3 teenagers (who later it turns out can't be pinned on Hamas). Therefore it looks as if Hamas started it. But if you move back slightly further in time some Palestinians were killed right before that.

And yes, the post you were responding to isn't quite accurate. The analogy isn't accurate because yes, I might be within my rights to defend myself if my neighbor randomly attacks me. But If I right before had tried to take their land or bulldoze their house, and they fought back, then my further attacks would not just be "self-defense."

Hamas instigated this conflict, as usual.

Furthermore, to draw an analogy...If my neighbor was shooting at my family and hiding behind his while doing so, I would still do whatever was necessary to protect my wife and children, and so would anybody else in the same situation.

Hamas is a 'resistance force', they don't attack unless they're attacked or threatened. What about the 6 palastinian kids (ages 7-19) that was killed in the first 5 months of this year? Did you hear about it? Probably not...Those 3 Israeli teens you heard about though right? Yeah.

Your analogy in invalid because you missed out the part where you claimed your neighbours garden as yours and every so often pick off one of their kids....

Acquisition of land by war is illegal under international law. Did you know that? 4th Geneva Convention.

Are you aware that the UN Partition Plan was accepted by the Jewish delegation in Palestine and unanimously rejected by the Arab delegation at the time?

Israel then declared itself a state within the borders established by the UN. Exactly one day later, the Arab delegation advised approximately 700,000 Palestinians to vacate the area in advance of a military invasion to destroy Israel, assuring them the right to return after they "push the Jews into the sea".

After Israel won the war, 700,000 Palestinians were displaced as a result.

No one will be held accountable, or the culprit won't be the one getting in the sh*t for it. Just have to look at George Bush Jr. and Tony Blair. Whoever this was will have to face some consequence...Unless you're Israel

Exactly! As Desmond Tutu said, the small powers and dictators get held responsible for violations of human rights and aggression but the West does not, including Bush and Blair.

All people that actually care about justice and ethics know we have to hold all leaders accountable, not just those of our enemies.

When the weaker powers are bludgeoned with the ICC or UN but the strong not, then those orgs become not instruments of justice but instruments of power and hegemony.

What matters is that the Palestinians are tired of being expelled, harassed, killed, and having their property expropriated in almost any part of Israel. They want a home of their own.

Hmmm, kinda interesting that you can't see their needs?
