OK, clearly you're not a litigator.

How is the FEDERAL background check not a 4th amendment VIOLATION ?

Well because no one is searching your papers and effects for no apparent reason. Seems you have to buy a firearm in a state with background checks before they search for criminal history and whatnot. You are the one instigating the search through the purchase of a firearm. Unless you go to a gun show, then you'll be fine.

NO! If you buy a gun at a gun show you still have to have a background check.

In the case of "well regulated", words have a way of changing meaning over time. In the days our constitution was wrote well regulated was a phrase akin to "in proper working order", not regulated by law. In fact, every single fire arm law including the 1934 act are unconstitutional.

WOW!

I am impressed that you understand and I thank you for the reminder...

The idea of a gun with a magazine is 100 years away and the idea of a machine gun 200 years away.

Nope, sorry, that's simply not true. Someone already pointed out the Girandoni air rifle, which was invented prior to the drafting of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Furthermore, Lorenzoni and Kelthoff repeaters existed more than a century before the US Revolutionary War. Those were capable of firing a shot about every 1-2 seconds. The only reason why they weren't in more widespread use is because of the immense cost of producing them by hand at the time. There are a few surviving examples of each in museums around the world. There was also the Puckle Gun, invented in 1718, which is essentially a large, tripod mounted revolver.

Here's an example of a Lorenzoni repeating flintlock:

And as for this bizarre notion that Obama has done nothing to curb gun rights, my, how short our memories are. Obama fully supported the proposed Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 introduced by Dianne Feinstein. Go ahead, read it. It bans about 150 firearms as well as places limits on magazine capacity. Furthermore, don't you think its a little curious that there's no 'protected' list for any kind of handgun? That's because those would have been next.

Don't mistake an inability to pass legislation with an unwillingness to do so.

And don't mistake verbal intentions for the real political world. Bush Jr is responsible for more restrictions on guns than Obama. For the same reason Republicans cater to the far right, Obama must appeal to the far left. Doesn't mean he has to go through with his appeals.
Politics, people are seldom what they seem.

So, basically your argument in Obama's defense is that he publicly supported a position due to political expediency, rather than standing up for what he supposedly believed and, in the process, he intentionally mislead the American people by trying to rally them to a position that he knew was wrong.

Is that really an argument you want to make?

You really have no clue.

Why don't you just go and look at the EO created to stop the importation of Garands from Korea.

Or just some of the metal round blanks for barrels from outside the US.

0bama has pushed via policy, some of the most encroaching rules on gun rights for a long time.

And yet, because of his stance, the backlash has created monster sales in firearms.

At a gun show in VA a contractor that worked for the government walked around the show showing people there an old M-! that had been lazar cut through the receiver and barrel as a way to destroy the gun.
He said that he had to do this under bill Clinton's order to many dump truck loads of new un issued weapons.
This is just another way of the left to skin the cat that cost the tax payer in two ways.
The value of each gun is lost and the cost to destroy the gun cost all of us, not to mention the DCM program may also be lost.
