I have adopted a new kitten and cannot come up with a good name for her. I want it to be one syllable and reflecting who I am, I am into ancient civilizations (Atlantis) ancient Egypt. She is all white with blue eyes. Her pic is below. Any great ideas out there? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

I'd call it Cat because it looks like a cat. What weird names do they call blue eyed blonds in this country?

How about Pearl?

Atlantis is ocean related, and you find pearls under the sea, where Atlantis is said to reside. Pearls are white, and so is your cat! Meh, who knows. All I know is that a cats name should reflect more about the cat, than its owner, ideally speaking.

How about Walter? Walter White?
I know that's not related to Atlantis.. But who wouldn't want to name their cat after a fictional meth cook?

Dog!
Very misleading, akin to my Brothers pit, her name is kitty.
Funny hearing him call her in, "here kitty kitty kitty".

As you want a single syllable name, and are interested in Ancient Egypt, may I suggest "Bast?" It means "Devourer," which I suspect you'll find very appropriate.

And, as an extra bonus, you can shout out, when necessary, "Come back here, you little furry Bast..." Complete the sentence as you will.

Although the name could go either way, I would name your cat "Nile".

Reason:

The Nile has two major tributaries, the White Nile and Blue Nile. The White Nile is considered to be the headwaters and primary stream of the Nile itself. The Blue Nile, however, is the source of most of the water and fertile soil. The White Nile is longer and rises in the Great Lakes region of central Africa, with the most distant source still undetermined but located in either Rwanda or Burundi. It flows north through Tanzania, Lake Victoria, Uganda and South Sudan. The Blue Nile (Amharic: ዓባይ?, ʿĀbay[5][6]) begins at Lake Tana in Ethiopia[7] and flows into Sudan from the southeast. The two rivers meet near the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.

Beautiful cat!
Good thing it was blue eyes and not green...
or it would be a lazer-eyed cat!

Ok, there are a few interesting suggestions, the best one so far is the one my friend said, Isis. I was just hoping someone here would throw out a name that shook me and say YES!! lol

I don't think naming her after a man who is a fictional meth cook is a good idea. Dog?!? really? lol no. But please keep the names coming folks... some one on here will have a great idea for a name.

Thanks

1 syllable, Egyptian, and it's a cat. Sphinx, perhaps?

Just don't teach her any riddles.

or Mau as that was the Egyptian word for cat

Bast was a feline goddess
