This happens everywhere, oil seems easy to make but alot of kids end up doing one thing wrong and, boom goes the dynamite.

They aren't making hash oil. That is another thing entirely. They are making Ear Wax. Anyways, it might be a word thing. But they are definitely preparing wax.

And anyone who thinks butane just magically disappears into the ether probably should not be playing with it. The kids in New York actually lit a cigarette in a enclosed space while preparing pounds of the stuff. Really stupid. It's like sitting inside a lighter and then striking a match.

Anyone who does this sort of thing should at least have a working knowledge of the process of evaporation. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there. Also, not really that smart if you are into the legalization movement. That's all they need is some news team to start yapping about wax as if it's some type child murderer. People are spending huge amount of money, time, and effort to change the way that MJ is perceived. All it takes is a few idiots to ruin the party.

There are other ways to make the oil too, like the ice method which is completely safe... But as plenty have pointed out this is nothing to do with the "evil" weed... Weed didn't inject butane into itself lol... This is about stupid people! If you're making oil with butane you do it outside! Anyone with half a brain knows that...

Some people drive at 100 mph in wet weather on a busy motorway, of course this is retarded... Some people apply makeup while driving and other send text messages while driving! You just can't cure stupid... Or do you advocate banning driving and any other activity where stupid people cause injury to themselves and others?

Guys? This is why God made vent hoods. There is a reason why you are taught to use these in chemistry lab.

One must understand that most humans get out of school thinking nothing more of it than they are glad that's over with and don't give it another thought until they retire , maybe never.

Things occur the way they do for a reason, ask any insurance guy who is something more than a pig wearing lipstick, good luck finding one, or one who will answer your questions honestly....

A lab is a controlled environment meaning not just vent hoods but ignition sources…kitchens are not. Best bet is to not release flammables in a non-lab grade environment. Next best thing is to go outside where you have no ventilation issues nor ignition sources everywhere.

LOL That!! Reminds me of a Bill Hicks comedy routine when he said, Man Dies when he thought he could fly while doing '___' after jumping off a building! How about , if someone thinks he can fly, try taking a running leap from the ground! LOL!!!!
