World War Three, Not Gonna Happen !!

In the news, in forums all over the web people are speculating if the current or next international political event will lead to world war three. As if there is no escaping it and that we better prepare..

I am aware that tensions between nations with nuclear weapons can built up towards a point where things can get very hot and devastating. But fortunatly upto date everybody with any decision making in that matter kept thinking rational. And that kind of thinking is what we need to keep things cool on our planet.

And precisely because of these rational thinking people WW3 will not happen.

I am not sure but isn't it so that the decision for pushing that last big red button is not in the hands of one man in government? What I am trying to say is that a president who lost all his money on the stock market is not able to start WW3 ... as an alternative choice when he can't find a high enough building to jump from? This does probably not apply to any country but even then people in power must keep thinking rational before making the decision to burn the planet to a crisp.

The USA, Russia and a few other countries have the power to turn everything to dust but would you not agree that such countries will not take the initiative to do so?

The way I see it WW3 is not gonna happen... (unless there is a conspiracy of lunatics).

Chances are we will come to the conclusion that keeping such weapons is the most stupid thing to do if there is the wish for the human species to survive the future.

Any of you guys convinced we are doomed or are you an optimist like myself and will we find our way out of this need for war, please explain?

People promised WW2 wouldn't happen back in WW1 also but look what eventuated.. WW3 will happen, it's just a matter of when and who has the balls to start it. I'm placing my bets on an pre-emptive strike by Israel on Iran but when is another issue all together.

I think if WW3 is to happen it won't be by conventional means. A nuke will go missing and set off a chain of events, or Israel will be threatened by too many enemies. There are prophecies about it being attacked on all sides.

Just because people are constantly crying wolf, doesnt mean its not going to happen. The last thing we should do is let our guard down.

WWIII has been going on since WWII "ended".

War never starts out full blown but eventually ends up that way.

Just like WWII ended with the destruction of major cities in Germany and Japan. Firebombing and carpet bombing of cities became necessary as the war went on. Without so much as a second thought. If the commanders had nukes earlier do you think they would have used them?

Once they were invented their use was a foregone conclusion.

All we are waiting for now is someone bold or crazy enough.

Full on ww3 without nukes? If humanity is sane, this can be the only plan. Small power struggles growing into major ones with untold casualties I can see because that's just the way we roll but bringing nukes into the deal would be a lunacy beyond comprehension. Economic wars perhaps will be the preferred route but are they not just a slow nuke? Somehow I think WW3 will be different than WW1 and 2. Some of it will be on the ground physical and some will be stuxnet derivatives etc, etc. At the end of the day, some twat will make a handsome profit. Nukes will be the forced checkmate, no resolve...All bets are off! And if there are indeed bunkers, that's where the architects will be.

Israel will strike first. But I am more concerned about rogue nukes going off anywhere and no evidence to clarify who is responsible. How long before retaliation on suspicion, with no facts? Say Israel bombs Iran nuclear facilities, tensions rise, and then a nuke goes off in Syria, without a name on it. What then? Then let us say another goes off in Azerbaijan, no clue who did it.
That is how hell breaks loose. 2 rogue nukes go off, one in an Israel ally country, one in an Iran ally country. That would do it. That would drag the US and Russia into it. But it may be the US or Russia that set them off, who knows, who cares? It wouldn't matter, WW3 would be game on.

I tend to look at war as more of just part of the process we as humans are entangled within as we stumble through what some call evolution.

To me, it's a way of culling the herd.

Also, I believe that all humans are insane. It is the cost we pay for developing our brains into the super-computers they have become. I truly feel the entire human species suffers from what we have termed "insanity", it makes perfect sense when you start to look how reality works.

War, is just one of the side effects of becoming sentient, conscious, self aware beings. WW3=High Probability.

I'd like to think your right. Truth be told your logic could be applied before every war that the world has been involved in. We've had the wars anyways.

Lunatics, accident, deliberate race depopulating, economic collapse, environmental changes resulting in regional food shortages or good old fashioned, tried and true expansion/greed. None of these have left the collective DNA.

Prepare...once prepared....don't worry about it, live life as you would.

Regardless if your religious at all; Evil men have and will continue to inhabit the world.

They manifest and despite all logic come into power.

Evil men do stupid sh# and leave the rest of the "world" to clean it up. Hence the phrase "world war".

If we ever become conceded enough to believe that mankind has rooted out evil men and their evil notions then the war is already lost.

It is going to happen sooner than later. It has to. The economy so far gone, things being stretched so thin. Everything feels completely wrong as far as the world as a whole. I know I am not the only person that has a feeling in their gut that the powder keg is going to blow.

I don't know if it will be in Syria, Iran, Ukraine...the list goes on. And if history is any guide to go by, then its just a matter of time.

WWIII started in 1945 and was the war on information, who controls information controls a populace, and yes usa won lol, the irony, fighting for freedom and democracy and the having won getting everything immediately stripped away..

I think WW III can happen without going full retard (strategic nukes). I can even see scenarios where limited strategic nuclear strikes Will be employed in our lifetimes. MAD is the deterrent, not the threat of regime change. I don't see any political gain on the horizon for a World War.

I think ww3 will happen and within our lifetime. Nuclear? Probably not. You don't have to have nukes to have a ww3. Just a military presence really. People are smarter than what you think they are and I think that the nuclear countries don't want to risk a nuclear war. They would lose everything. I really don't think they want that.
