Kind of like the 2012 U.S. election forum, which is still up too. I hope that Romney guy gets what's coming to him, we may soon know if the exit polls are correct.

I'd like to see someone post a thread saying that 2012 was not supposed to be a cataclysmic event in the traditional sense, but a paradigm change. I think that there's a good argument for a paradigm change.

The thing is... What if an event yet to happen, which already occurred back then, alters the timeline and renews the whole thing?

We'd look pretty silly with the ultimate galactic oops of 'wish we still had that forum around to talk about this impending timequake!"

From a macro cosmic perspective 2012 has been happening for over 100 years now.

Your perspective lacks more insight then what can be offered in 1 post.

The date 12/21/12 was not the end of the Mayan calendar. It was the final intercalary benchmark that started a 1,365 day countdoun to the end of the Mayan calendar on 9/16/2016.

I can offer mathematical confirmation here:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

The "Mayan" calendar is actually a countdown to the beginning of the "End of the Age", starting with the birth of Lamech. Its origins are pre-Mayan...antediluvian to be exact.

Jesus is returning mid September of 2023. That is 7 years after 9/16/2016. On the day of 9/16/2016 the believers in Christ will be removed from the face of the Earth, and God will pour out his wrath on the Earth for 7 years so that the remaining might repent.

All of this can be avoided if you believe that Jesus died for our sins on the cross. If you believe that, then you will be resurrected on 9/16/2016, and taken into heaven.

These calculations have been confirmed supernaturally via prophecy:

gods-messenger.webs.com

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Because the effects of the date passing are just beginning.

Are you trying to tear a hole in the space/time continuum??

I am sorry but all I can think about is Jim Jones after reading your post.

As a non believer myself seven years of hell doesn't sound that bad if religion won't be around after.

Just sayin thats all.

Whoooo...? Meeee?

I'm innocent. The cat did it. I saw him and I'll testify to it!

*Seriously tho... I personally figure the 2012 forum is a great open archive and reference to a very eventful and passionate time in history, eh?

Taken in real terms, ATS shows a day to day, hour to hour view of what was crossing news and lines of attention from all over the world across the whole period. It's a pretty heavy thing when one thinks of it that way.

This forum provides a history of sorts and contains arguments and evidence both for and against the original topic. It is just as important it remain here, whether the myriad predictions bore fruit or not.

Ten years from now, twenty years from now, if ATS is still here and I hope it will be, this account of a significant event that touched many lives will still be here for study. Just because something does not happen, does not mean that nothing was learned or can be learned from it.

I bet you a billion imaginary ats points that if you combed through the 2012 forums there will be thread of that nature.
There was one recently about how 12/23/13 was paradigm change if you can't find one in 2012

"Deepwater disaster" is still on the page as well, though people have stoped talking about it.
Evidently this site does not remove whole forums of material.

I have suggested that the forum could have a continuing purpose by being used for discussions around similar dates in the future.
It could be re-named "dated predictions", with a double meaning.
Before the day arrived, "dated" in the sense tha a date was attached to them.
Afterwards, "dated" in the sense of being obsolete.
